Overeem dropped out of the GP. He claims that September is too early (aka he's a pussy).

Between this and that last fight I am very disappointed with Mr. Reem.

I don't think I can make picks for this card. I love Fedor but I think I wNt Hendo to win.

Man I love what happened on that card. I kind of can't believe Hendo finished Fedor. They cried about an early stoppage but he was limp.

Also I'm curious to see how Strikeforce does now. Overeem and Rogers are both cut Fedor and AA are both on pretty big losing streaks. On top of that Barnett might be their biggest HW draw right now and he is probably the hardest fighter to license in MMA.

The biggest draws of SF were their heavyweights, Diaz, and Melendez (IMO). Now they've lost Diaz and a ton of HWs. I would personally argue that Hendo is their biggest draw right now and I believe his contract is up shortly.

Luffa has officially released Marloes Coenan after losing her title to Meisha Tate Saturday. Wow. So they've released the HW champ and the woman who lost her belt less than a week ago.

They released the older Overeem too. And that dude Einemo.
They all are from the same camp. Looks like the Alistair fallout is in full effect.

EDIT: Just read your UFC thread post where you said basically the same thing. haha

Yeah I read the title that they had been released and I just automatically filled in Overeem as Alistair. I always forget about Valintijn Oldereem.

Aaaaaannnd there goes Fedor. SF is basically done now. The only names left that I even remotely care about are Hendo, Barnett, Bigfoot, Gil Melendez, Jacre and maybe Sergei/Werdum.

Well the issue is that there are so many contracts. Also they need to decide what happens with women's MMA at this point people are split on it but also the majority of them really aren't very good fighters compared to the male counterparts.

Well they made a pretty big statement here. Basically every fighter with a "promotional fight camp" has been removed from the Zuffa brand. Now if they drop Kharitonov for taking that kickboxing match that's an even bigger statement.

I was talking about this on another forum but Overeem leaving basically ruined this tourney. Before the winner either had to beat Overeem or beat a man who beat him.

It's funny thinking about how Coker was saying the winner of this would be the #1 heavyweight.

Also Cormier winning even one fight is TERRIBLE for SF.

What a great fucking card...You know Strikeforce always comes off as such a joke but the cards they have are usually very entertaining. Cormier was a shocker and Rockhold was like Rocky out there beating Apollo I loved it.

What happened? Did two apes roll around on the ground and hump each other for a few hours?

Jerkoff DVR didn't record it for some reason.
I know for a fact I set it last Saturday. So something got fucked up I guess.

But I watched the 4 main fights on mmashare.
Even though there was some good shit, I'm ready for Strikeforce to be done and just have everyone in UFC.
Who cares who wins this heavyweight tournament, the UFC guys would smash them.

I totally agree, the Strikeforce guys couldn't hold a candle to the UFC guys...and yes they rolled around like apes.

Actually I think Barnett and Cormier might do okay.

In fact if Cormier and Lesner fought I would put my money on Cormier.

7/9 the same. All the majors the same and two of the really no name fights are our differences.
