book2:ALL HAIL THE FANCY RAINBOW GUARD

Okay so I finished book 2. Overall it was good, I liked it. For some reason I'm having a hard time seeing this book as a TV season.

End of Book Spoilers:

Man, I liked Theon... I kept hoping for a moment where Robb pops up and reveals the whole thing was a trick to get Theon's sister and force his father's cooperation. Though, he was very adamant about not burying the fake Bran/Ricken in the crypts so maybe he knew they'd be hiding there?

Not sure how I feel about the Jon becoming a spy within the wild-lings.

The Sansa/Danaerys story lines in the book were total snoozers. I just couldn't wait for each chapter to end as soon as possible. The exception being the drug induced trip that Danaerys took.

The whole battle at Kings Landing was a bit anti-climatic too. Stannis just bitched out at the end.

Take as much time as you need to prepare your body for the masterpiece that is A Storm of Swords.

Dance comes out in 2 weeks!!!!!!!!! HYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYPE!!!!!!!!!!!!

You're gonna have to hold on to those spoilers for a bit. I still have to finish Dance with Dragons, and I don't think anyone else here has read as far as I have.

You mean A Feast for Crows? I probably won't talk about the new one in any detail at all besides whether I liked it or not, at least until someone else finishes it. If there are any spoilers, I will very, very clearly mark them. I do not tolerate spoilers in this series!

Someone that got an early copy scanned the 3 new maps in the front of the book. I don't consider them spoilers because they're just maps, but I'll just link them if you want to take a peek.

Finished Clash of Kings a little while ago. Moved on top Sword of Swords and I love it so far. I'm at the point where Arya's group goes to that weird inn I love it.

My only concern for this series is that I'll read 4 and 5 and then it will be forever until the next book.

Just enjoy the masterpiece that is the third book. You wouldn't believe the things that happen in there.

I'm excited. Is there anything in it on the level of " the twist" in Game of Thrones?

Oh yeah. There's one thing in that book that everyone remembers reading for the first time. Insanity.

I heard a lot of people didn't like 4. Something about certain characters being completely absent?

Yeah, I guess it's a valid complaint, but I still disagree. The book is still beautifully written, and theres tons of world building in it, which I love. The characters in it that you do know are so well developed through that book anyways.

Btw, it's like that because originally Martin was writing one book, but it turned out being too big to publish, so he split it in two. 4 and 5 are during the same time for the most part, but 4 focuses on the south, and 4 on the north.

I'm getting more into Feast with Crows the more I read it. Like Dante said, it's slower paced because of all the new characters and places they explore.
