Lifted from the title page:

"Tonight, we're adding a little something different to the site, our very first Podcast. I thought long and hard about doing a Podcast for the site, and I figured the only way to really know if we should do one is to try one out.

Last Friday night a few of us got together and recorded at Joe's place. I'll be honest, we didn't have to much of a game plan, but the real goal was just to see if we were capable of carrying an entire Podcast. I thought things went better than expected, but I would like for all of you fine people to be the judges. Listen to the Shamoozal Podcast, and then tell us what you think at the Smorgas Board, or send us an e-mail."

If you haven't seen it yet, the front page has gotten a slight overhaul. I think the site has been begging for this type of communication for a while. I still might stick up a title theme here and there for special occasions, but for now I'm going to stick to that format.

Okay, so the Podcast. Steve (Sol) and I were talking about doing a podcast kind of in passing one day. Before we knew it, we figured we would take a stab at it. I asked Joe what he thought about it and he was all about it. For a little something different, I also decided to ask my brother Jim (sithlord) to join in, as he's always "colorful."

We've already listened to it (in the case of Joe and I, several times) and we already know where we can make improvements. However, we really do want an honest opinion from everyone who listens to it. If you didn't like it, be honest with us and let us know.

As I mentioned on the front page, I felt it went better than expected. Remember, none of us are broadcasters, so this podcast is more of a stepping stone. We wanted to get one under our belts belts before I decided to make it a permanent part of the site. As I said, we really want to know what you think, feelings won't be hurt!

Regardless, I'd like to thank Joe for all his help as he really did a lot of work on this. And I want to thank Steve, Jim, and Frank for the work they did on the podcast as well.

Get ready for a completely nerded out experience, and hopefully you'll have a few laughs along the way. Hope you enjoy.

Hey Phil,
Think the Podcast was well-done. I was interested for most of it (The World of Warcraft conversation, despite the fact that you eventually made fun of it, was waaaay too long), and I liked it not just because I know you guy. I liked the inclusion of Manbot and think you should do more site-related things like that in the future.
I would suggest making fun of each other more. That's usually what makes me more into podcasts of people I don't know, plus it's just straight funny.
Maybe if you're stuck on topics in the future (although you guys did pretty well), you can just steal the main, most popular topics from the Smorg.
Also, why does it just cut out at the end? I'd rather you guys sign off or something.
Overall though, nice job.

It cuts out? Man, sounds like the file didn't upload right. Damn it. I'll have to fix it when I go home. I'm going to download here and take a listen.

Yeah I just listened. It cuts off probably the last 5 minutes. I'll be sure to fix it as soon as I get home tonight.

Could you make it so I can control the changing of the left part of the front page? I missed clicking on thing for the podcast and I had to wait for it to change back into that screen. It might scroll to fast for some people or too slow for some other people. So I think you should give control to the people in changing that or just make it something different.

Man, the WOW talk was SOOO NERDY! +25 with the mace! +20 skill FISHING ROD! But I loved it. It was awesome. And the original manbot making an appearance. You should play some of the classic manbots on the postcast.

Listening to the podcast makes me want to call in as if it was live and you guys are hosts to a talk show. I like how you guys mentioned our names.

Yeah, I was looking at that last night. I'm thinking of coming up with something for it. Thanks dude.

There's also a link for the file in the text to the right just in case.

yeah i thought it was funny.
it sounds like a talk radio show that i would listen to.
and i would definitely call in if it was possible.

i kinda lose interest with the video game stuff since i barely know anything about any new stuff right now and i dont watch the video game TV shows. but you guys still made it funny enough for me to keep listening. i thought it was great. Frank needs to get in on that definitely.

And the shout out to Poopsicle City on Xanga even though no link was given, i just liked hearing the words POOPSICLE CITY mentioned. NICE!

You play COD 2 online? I find it really hard. You die so fast. I guess I was playing DM. I would respawn and die.

I just listened to the whole thing. I really should have double checked the file last night. Oh well, if you enjoyed it, get ready for "part 2" of it tonight, because Frank is right, there is a good 10-15 minutes missing.

I just listened to it and thought it was really good. It kept my interest from beginning to end. The topics were kept general enough so that anyone could listen to it even if they didn't know all of us. A couple of suggestions though, You gotta add Frank to the crew and let us know when you are doing the next one so we can call in and bullshit too.

Hey Phil, how about calling these podcasts "Pointless Podcasts"? You said it at the end of this one, and I think it has a nice ring to it.

Man, I couldn't stop laughing at the fishing rod bit.

I am excited to see where this could possibly go.

Oh, and I am the unnamed man who said that Bernie Mac could be Jazz in Transformers: The Movie.

However, I am mistaken. After checking out IMDB.com, he's playing Bobby Bolivia.

Also, Jon Voight, Michael Clarke Duncan, and John Turturro also have roles in the movie.

- Thark, a man who wants his own podcast.
