I'm trying to trade this extra demoman hat I have (Tippler's Tricorne), and nobody will take it because it's not vintage. This vintage nonsense is the fucking worst. What is wrong with people!? For those of you that don't play, a vintage item is one you got pre-patch. You know the difference? One says vintage. They're exactly the same.

It was cool for a day, but it kinda killed the game for me and a lot of people I play with. The halloween update just made everything about hats all the time, and if you started killing people during the boss or after a gift dropped, some people would actually be mad. I hated it.

Holy cow, the trading marketplace in this game is a monster. Originally it was everyone scrambling for stupid vintage hats, then the community somehow established a system of worth based on metal, so each hat had a value in metal that fluctuated by rareness/demand. Now I see interest has shifted into keys. Keys are only available be buying through the MannCo. store for $2.50, but now there's a massive market of people trading keys for items and selling keys for lower than market value in actual money. Madness.
