Man, I never thought an Uncharted game would bum me out like this one did. It's not even a "safe" Uncharted game. You are constantly ripped out of the experience to touch the screen, but it's very rarely used in interesting ways. To nail this point home, the coolest touchscreen feature was using it to traverse the environment. Now instead of climbing by holding a direction and mashing X or O like a mad man, you trace your path. I kind of liked that.
If you're expecting any big set pieces or anything to make you go "holy shit!" like the other uncharted games, look elsewhere. This game is all about collecting treasure and molesting your new Vita touch screen. The combat isn't even good compared to the other games, with the worst offender being the ridiculous aim assist. There are 2 boss fights, which might make you go cool! until you realize that they are both prolonged touch screen QTEs. 3 mistakes and you'll be playing through the 2-3 minute segments over again. Hope you are good at swiping!
I didn't like it very much. It looked pretty good for a handheld game, but anyone who says it's pretty much a portable PS3 is bonkers. I paid $23 for this game. If you paid $50 for Uncharted, the most expensive Vita game so far, I feel bad for you son.
