So good. I totally shit myself on several occasions, and dread was always thick in the air. Amazing atmosphere in this game. Even though the monsters looked dumb, they are dangerous and you can't do anything to fight back. The new one looks even crazier.

That game is a classic, can't wait for the sequel.

Now Phil needs to quit being such a baby and play through it.

I'm sorry, it's boring.

Sure.

I was really enjoying myself up until the point where I needed to click open every little drawer and cabinet to progress further.

That's the spot I was at. Running between the same four rooms.

I did get stuck on a few puzzles, but I never felt hopelessly lost. You should just FAQ the puzzles if you are stuck. Don't feel any shame.

I generally do. I have no problem cheating on games at this point in my life. I guess I just lost interest. Maybe I'll go back to it.

However I will say I followed the rules of that game when I started. I played in a dark room with my headphones on, just like it told me to. And I was scared!

Played through MMPR on SNES tonight. I only played this game once waaaaay back when it came out. I remember it being decent enough then and it's decent enough now. This game could have easily have been a side scrolling brawler like Turtles in Time, but instead it's more of an action/brawler game. There is some platforming mixed in with all the combat.

It's actually surprisingly faithful to the show. I didn't appreciate the sprite work for the teenagers back then because I always wanted to be the Power Ranger, but they all animate accordingly. Billy is nerdy/scared, Jason is tough, etc. Lots of little details like that. Once they morph though that all goes out the window because the Rangers are just color swaps, which looks awful in the case of Kimberly and Trini. Zach's sprite is fucking racist. I can't believe they got away with that. It's seriously just lips.

Oh the music is really good too. Pretty certain the original Castlevania composer did it. Took about a half hour to get through, I enjoyed it enough.

X-Men: The Arcade Game (Android)

Bought it from the Google store for 99 cents. Didn't take that long to beat thanks to unlimited credits, but the controls are god awful compared to some of the other games I've played. I basically bought it so I could hear the Colossus scream and it did not disappoint. I also don't know how anyone could beat this game without unlimited credits and not using their super powers over and over. The last stage leading up to Magneto is ridiculous because you have to fight all the bosses all over again; a few of them at the same time. I'm sure a good amount of quarters were pumped into this machine by some maniac who had to beat it in the arcade.

Yeah, those games are pretty much designed to eat up quarters. That's the part of the appeal though of arcade machines. See how long you can go on 1 quarter. But with unlimited continues, that aspect kind of gets lost and I find games a little less fun because of it.

On those Konami beat em ups, there is a difficulty setting the higher you go the more enemies on the screen at the same time. You know the Arcades had those babies jacked up.

How are the Android apps? I think I only have a few more months till my BB becomes too much of a burden and I'm considering switching.

I don't care about games much. I just want a decent Twitter/Facebook app. Maybe a bank app, a weather app, a news app and a sports app.

I would miss the fuck out of BBM but I'd live.

We all jumped from BBM to Whatsapp, it was a little rough at first but its alright now.

Regular Apps are fine on Android, the Facebook app is garbage, but all of my other apps run just fine.

Played through Metroid 2, my BIG platinum gift, hahah. Unreal. Anyway...

I still love this game. It's got a handful of shitty design choices which I guess makes it the "worst" Metroid technically, but I don't know, I love this game. I think I'd put it over Fusion and Other M, even though both are superior in their own ways.

It has music like this for god sake

Is there a way for Whatsapp to communicate with BBM. I still use it a lot and I tend to write long ass messages that would not fit in a normal text.

The music is good, but this comment floors me. Metroid 2 is murder to play. I hate trying to get around in that game. WHY IS THE CAMERA SO CLOSE?

Yeah, Fusion and Other M play like a million bajillion times better. I just love the idea behind Metroid 2 and I love the audio, the atmosphere, all that shit. It's really unique. Also, it's short, so it's cool to bang out in an afternoon or two. M2 is the most frustrating Metroid game, and technically probably the weakest one, but I love it anyway man. I'd rather play the original Metroid over Fusion and Other M too and that's probably even more "broken" than Metroid 2.

A lot of GB games suffered from the camera being too close to the character. I would go out on a limb and say they did it on Metroid for the missiles. She doesn't change color like in the old game since she kind of cant, so they need to show a physical difference which is like the two pixels on her cannon that open up when she has missiles ready to fire. I'd love to know if that were really the answer.
