Me too. That would be somehow worse than Catwoman.

They are casting X-men first class right now...They already cast James McAvoy as Professor X, some unknown as Magneto and Alice Eve from Shes out of my League as Emma Frost...

It's really hard to do a bunch of spiderman movies with the same actor as they can age so fast. Tobey is now 35 years old. I think Andrew Garfield was a bad choice, although he was alright in Dr. Parnassus. I would have gone with Michael Angarano (the kid from Sky High).

Will I watch this because it's a comic book adapted movie? Yes.

Josh Hutcherson got far enough in the audition process to film a fight demo with Spiderman director Marc Webb. They ended up passing on him and going with Andrew Garfield but its still pretty cool to see some stuff they were testing him on.

Pretty good stuff. I didn't know that kids name when I'd read Josh Hutcherson but seeing him I know who he is. He would have been a good Peter. Guess the dude they settled with should be really good then.

I'm still really interested in this movie even if it does end up retreading what Raimi did not even 10 years ago.

Yeah I think Hutcherson would have been a good fit visually since he's only like 18-19 years old anyway. I heard he's good in the new movie The Kids Are All Right but I've only seen him act in the Will Ferrell movie Kicking & Screaming. But he's in Zathura, Bridge to Terabithia, Journey to the Center of the Earth and Cirque du Freak so he's really making the rounds as he gets older. The dude they went with, Andrew Garfield, is 27 but looks kind of young and is probably a better actor. I'm really interested in this too but I dont have high hopes for it to meet the Raimi version.

That was a cool video of Hutcherson.

Garfield is 27, so if there are sequels, he'll be in his 30s before they all come out. But he probably is the better actor.

I think younger would have been better. I liked Michael Angarano for his role in The Forbidden Kingdom.

Toby MgGuire is the perfect candidate to play peter parker, I don't think I can watch another spiderman movie and it be nearly as good as him. Emma stone, I'd hate it if she was cast as MJ.

I don't know how you can possibly be upset by this casting.

Why would you hate Emma Stone as MJ? I think it's a good choice.

And I like Toby too, but I'm willing to give this guy a chance as Spiderman. Think about how many Batmans there have been over the years. Characters like this get recasted all the time. Just how it goes.

Plus she wasn't even really in it that much.
Pretty much the beginning and then the end.
