I didn't mind the wall thing but the teleporter through time... that's where I draw the line. Even though I still couldn't help but think that it's impossible to generate the energy to separate atoms' binding forces. Especially with some sonic resonator. But whatever. Star Trek can teleport because it's in the future.

What about all the wacky things in Star Wars? That's in the past!

hahahaha, galaxy far far away. It's covered.

The thing with the last episode was that the dude just so happens to invent some sort of time traveling teleporter like it was nothing. The only time traveling inventors I'm willing to accept are Dr. Emmett L. Brown or the guy from the Time Machine. And their devices just traveled through time. They weren't also teleporters. Next thing you know, he'll say something like. "Oh yeah, now I remember. I invented a bomb that could blow up the universe. Now the bad guys found it."

Any one else notice that the bad guy was the dude from Deeds? That's all could think of the entire time.

I don't even know why I watched the episode. I just left the TV on after watching the best show on TV. HOUSE.

Yeah to be honest I was confused by the teleporter/time machine. I thought the thing was a time machine but then it teleported a guy out of jail. It never did any time travel... at least in the traditional sense.

The moment Walter mentioned a time machine I said to Demi "You mean to tell me he built a time machine... out of a delorean?"

I actually recognized the bad guy from something else and it was driving me nuts, but I know its not Deeds... I need to IMDB that guy.

HOUSE is fucking terrible. i catch the end of it every week, and i want to punch my TV. fringe is no more plausible than some idiot who can diagnose all these patients with made up, ridiculous medical problems that are just as stupid as a fictitious teleporter.

If you are only watching the end of the it, you have no context of what is going on. I'm not saying what happens on the show isn't ridiculous but it's a little more based in reality than Fringe. But Fringe is a sci-fi show. HOUSE is not. All the diseases they mention or diagnose on HOUSE are real. It's probably the most realistic medical show on TV compared to Grey's Anatomy or Scrubs or ER. The doctors actually seem like doctors instead of some actor playing a doctor.

hahaha. because the HOUSE thread doesn't get enough love. It doesn't even get a weekly update.

Thats because I update threads that I contribute to. I dont update HOUSE because I dont watch it, I dont update BSG either for the same reason.
I read every morning what the general synopsis of the nights episode will be for any show I watch and decide to share with the Shamoozal community. Sometimes people dont care and I stop updating it but other times it gets some discussion going. You are free to update the HOUSE thread to get some discussion going but I have no desire to do so.

plus i originally started doing it because when i was catching up on LOST i went back to read the old threads about the seasons and sometimes went a little too far and read stuff i shouldnt have. now these updates are like markers for other people if they need them.

I don't think Walter's device was a literal time machine, it was just capable of retrieving people from anywhere/anytime, and that's what it did. I don't know why this would bother someone compared to the other stuff...like hooking Olivia into that tank to go into dead people's minds and have some of their memories cross other...

It's a sci-fi show...expect sci-fi stuff.

and what's with it not coming back till January!

Good point, Walter did mention how he "grabbed" that doctor or something along those lines.

pretty much every show goes into reruns in december. its the "mid season finale" because they dont get many ratings during the holidays. LOST used to take huge breaks when they had the longer seasons. It would be like November to February as their mid season break.

i have seen whole eps of house, and i fucking hate it. its retarded. period.

yeah dante, its why 24 doesn't start until mid jan. they want to keep the show going non-stop all season long, so they delay its start date in order to do that. i'm glad lost is doing that this year too...its giving me more tie to get caught up with it.

but yeah, its not reallya time machine per se. it can just grab people people. now how it does that at all should be some what explained at least with in the context of the show.

A visit from Olivia's sister (Ari Graynor) and a formal review of the Fringe Division coincide with the investigation of the murder of a famous scientist, which may have something to do with Olivia's recent abduction.

Hahaha, pretty hilarious article. It's all true. I'm actually not looking forward to tonights episode of Fringe, but I'm gonna have to watch it anyway. Maybe I'll just play some DS while Demi watches it.

so that article was pretty spot on. fringe has a bunch of holes in it. i guess the big twist was that that dude was possibly not a bad guy after all.

still, it has its moments that are out of control. like if they were able to keep up the pace of the slugs coming out of people's mouths for the entire episode, they would have a sure fire hit on its hands.

the 2 things i didnt like about that episode were how the "bad guys" listened to her request for a glass fo water and had NO IDEA she was going to try to escape. And then Harris explained everything that ever happened in the show while she was laying in the hospital bed just because the show might have some new viewers. i thought that was cheesy.

but other than that, i love this show. it creeps me out and its great.

there's explanations for all the points in that article. i laughed at it too but there's still explanations. you dont want to see a show where people get warrants, thats boring. look at 24, did jack bauer ever go get a warrant? thats not exactly riveting TV. the fringe division is small because they dont want anyone to know about this shit. the small team seems to handling it well so they dont need more people. and they still dont really know what massive dynamics is up to. if they charged in and started going through their shit, they probably wouldnt find anything. the only one that really holds true is the fact that they're always shocked by this weird stuff even though its their job. but think about it, if you saw a giant slug come out of someone's mouth you would be in shock.

Hahaha, yeah I laughed at that. I said to Demi when the episode started that they should have given us a previously on Fringe, and then that happened and I laughed.

If Steve is reading this thread.... the new character on Fringe is Gray Anderson from Jericho. He's a dude from Homeland Security that hates the main character Olivia because she busted him for sexual assault.

yeah. idk. this show isn't really doing it for me lately. i like the premise and i don't mind all the mumbo-jumbo, but there's just something that isn't clicking. i don't mind it, and its not that i don't like it, but i feel like i could be spending my time doing something else. i'll finish off the season, but i don't know if it will keep me around if there's a season 2.
