So I was thinking about the movie earlier and these were just some of the stuff that came up.

1) If Bane wanted to blow up the city, why was he waiting 5 months to do it? Why didn't he just set off the bomb to begin with?
2) Why didn't any of the bad guys seem like they wanted to leave the city when the bomb was about to go off? Didn't they realize they bomb was going off? Did they all just have a death wish?
3) Why would Talia sleep with Bruce Wayne? Did she not know he was Batman at the time? I thought she knew. If she did know, why would she sleep with him? Wouldn't she just want to kill him right there? She could have. Whyyyyyyyy?
4) Why did Talia wait until the last minute to flood the machine room? She had no use for it after making the bomb. Why didn't she just destroy it right then and there? What was she waiting for?
5) What was the point of keeping the bomb moving around in a vehicle? Was there really a point to having it be driven around the city 24/7? So for 5 months, they've been keeping the bomb inside of a dump truck driving it around the city until it was time to blow up? It wasn't like anyone was trying to do anything before Batman showed up again.

1) If Bane wanted to blow up the city, why was he waiting 5 months to do it? Why didn't he just set off the bomb to begin with?

as i understood it, the whole point was to break gotham before burying it. NYC came back really hard after the towers fell. you have to break peopls spirit to really destroy them

2) Why didn't any of the bad guys seem like they wanted to leave the city when the bomb was about to go off? Didn't they realize they bomb was going off? Did they all just have a death wish?

didnt you catch the part at the beginning when he told one of his people to stay behind? these are believers. they don't care if they die.

3) Why would Talia sleep with Bruce Wayne? Did she not know he was Batman at the time? I thought she knew. If she did know, why would she sleep with him? Wouldn't she just want to kill him right there? She could have. Whyyyyyyyy?

she needed to gain his trust so he would do 2 things a) put her in charge of wayne enterprises and b) show him where the energy device was and how to use it

4) Why did Talia wait until the last minute to flood the machine room? She had no use for it after making the bomb. Why didn't she just destroy it right then and there? What was she waiting for?

plot hole

5) What was the point of keeping the bomb moving around in a vehicle? Was there really a point to having it be driven around the city 24/7? So for 5 months, they've been keeping the bomb inside of a dump truck driving it around the city until it was time to blow up? It wasn't like anyone was trying to do anything before Batman showed up again.

there were still free cops and the government, keeping it moving made it impossible to detect for any length of time

I really need to see this movie again....

For number 2.

It seemed kind of silly for Bane and Talia wanted to commit suicide along with everyone else. There was no point for them to die. Raz Al Ghoul never wanted to die along with the city.

Talia and Bane were soldiers. They were ronin at that point. Ronin seek vengeance on those who betray their masters and then commit sepuku. Probably too deep though. They probably just had a helicopter ready to help them escape or some shit.

i fucking loved the shit out of this shit.

eff spoiler tags.

if there was a silly scene or part in the movie it was when like 50 million cops are all marching under the city hah. it just seemed so silly looking.

bane wanted to torture batman. he wanted him to sit in jail and watch gotham rot from his jail cell. talia was keeping her shit under wraps so her directly coming out and deep sixing the reactor would've exposed her. i'm sure they wanted to leave before the bomb blew up, but batman ruined it.

well i think what russell was saying, is once they released the reactor, at that point the cat was out of the bag, so why keep it around? everyone knew she was part of it at that point. it is a pretty bad plot hole.

Some of the parts that made me curious were the edits.

For example, how did it turn so dark outside after 9 minutes according to the countdown of Bruce Wayne stealing all of the money from Wall St, when it was so sunny outside?

And why did Bane sound like Brain from Pinky and the Brain?

yeah, the editing and sound mixing were really my main complaints. The disembodied voice of Bane was really distracting. It was omnipresent, which is just lazy sound editing. Not once did the sound actually seem to come from Bane. His voice was always crystal clear and everywhere, while everyone else's had nat sound over it and came from the proper direction.

obviously these are very technical complaints. but i cant help it. im a video editor and it pissed me off.

on a side note. this is a pretty good analysis of the full trilogy. some cool stuff i never thought about

Yeah. The only time his voice direction made sense was when he was using the megaphone at the football stadium. I still can't get Brain out of my head when I hear Bane.

I read online that the Tuttleman theater was uncomfortable, and that's the only reason I'm driving to king of Prussia.

You have to make sure you're sitting all the way in the back. I sat in the middle and I felt like I was too close.

Still waiting to see it, been too damn busy this past week.

Why are you goin all the way to King of Prussia? I've been to the one in Cherry Hill a few times and its solid. I've also been to the one at Franklin Institute and didn't really enjoy it. The screen is so big you have to like turn your head to watch the movie it felt like

Kojima tweeted his review of TDKR

Quote:
HIDEO_KOJIMA (@hideo_kojima_en)
Saw "Dark Knight Rises". Extraordinary big in scale! This ain't movie anymore, this is the reality of the world we live in. Not a fiction in Gotham City, it is the city we live tomorrow. Not merely a movie based on American Comics, it is the story of our shadow and hope.

That killed me for some reason.

Yeah thats the only one I've been to other than the Franklin Institute.
I never really notice much difference in Cherry Hill though. I think the screen is only slightly bigger. The sound is usually top notch though.
I haven't seen many IMAX movies though. Watchmen and Star Trek are the only ones I can remember.

The one in the Franklin Institute was significantly bigger. I couldn't even see the entire screen I felt like because I was too close. The flying shots were awesome. You really felt like you were flying over the cities.

I sat a few rows from the back, it was insanely crowded and almost every seat, not in the front row, was taken 40 minutes before the show. 7 PM hit and Batman started right up, no previews, no commercials, no stupid front row joe. Imax was worth the 38 bucks, the screen was absolutely gigantic and looked amazing when it was totally filled up. We had 3 people a guy and 2 younger girls that kept getting up and going to the bathroom or whatever, and they filled their popcorn like 4 fucking times. Your paying 20 bucks a ticket to not watch the movie, I don't get it. I didn't move one bit even though I had to pee so bad, and I already saw the movie before.
