monumentally awful? The voice was great. The mixing wasn't as all around off as you might think, but the parts when it's off are really off. It's not that hard to go back and fix something like that, that's what screening is for... I'm the only one i know who doesn't hate hathaways catwoman, I thought she was perfect for the nolan movies. Also god damn that suit looks good on her.

I don't know anyone who hated her as catwoman. I thought she was really good.

I don't know how you guys all unanimously think that voice is great. It's the silliest thing I've heard in a long time. I think it would have fit in one of the animated movies, but in a live action Chris Nolan Batman, it's awful. Just awful.

To each their own, I guess.

i dont think bane's voice was silly, but i do agree that it was a bit difficult to hear at times. irate thinks it is the audio mix, which he might be right, but that's all i have against it.

i heard it described as the voice of "a gentlemanly bastard", which i think is an awesome description. the voice itself was good. the filter and mixing was bad. of course there were times where it was a bit out of hand, but it was great when he said "your punishment must be more severe". had he talked like that throughout, it woudl have been better. the characters motivations were changed entirely for this movie, so the voice couldn't just be cold and calculating as it was in TAS. This Bane was a believer, so he had to actually have some emotion in his voice, which is usually where it came off as silly.

also, did anyone else notice they toned down the bat voice? he went back the voice he used in begins, i liked that better.

Thats because he has a filter on in The Dark Knight that was added in Post Production...

Via IMDB...

Quote:
The infamous growl performed by Christian Bale was much rougher in this film than Batman Begins and has been parodied countless times due to its extreme nature, however the common misconception is that Christian Bale was fully responsible for this voice. The real voice during filming was more toned down and then heightened to a rougher, grittier vibe during post-production under the decision of director Christopher Nolan.

well i never thought bale got there on his own. can you imagine having to deliver lines like that over and over again? he wouldn't have a voice the rest of filming. i was just glad that they toned it down.

you need to read the description

Quote:
The movie was shot on Alexa cameras and was written, directed and stars Diggity Dave from MTV's Pimp My Ride and Discovery Channels Battleground Earth.

makes a lot more sense.

here is the whole thing, from this video http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CP1TXnP2 ... ure=relmfu

Quote:
This epic groundbreaking never before been done full length feature Batman fan film was shot by the legendary 10 time award winning (including 5 Emmy's and 5 ASC awards and the lifetime achievement award) cinematographer Donald M Morgan who has shot movies with legendary directors like Robert Zemeckis, John Carpenter, David Fincher and many more. The movie was shot on Alexa cameras and was written, directed and stars Diggity Dave from MTV's Pimp My Ride and Discovery Channels Battleground Earth. This is a movie set in a dark visceral world where the lines blur between redemption and provocation to what separates the hero's from the villain's. The story is about a singer in a popular band in the morally bankrupt city of Bedlam named Davy Vain whose whole life has been a montage of pain and inner suffering because of the deaths of his beloved parents who were struck down by a senseless criminal when he was a child. Davy was forced to grow up in an orphanage and upon entering manhood he has forever been teetering on the road that straddle's both heaven and hell and that is paved with the torn out hearts of the good doers by the gathering of the fringe. Until one night Davy accidently stumbles upon the murdered martyr of the city that is sewn to the suffrage at the hands of a faceless enemy that he comes to realize that it's his one chance to make a difference and bring redemption to the hundreds of victims that have no voice's echoing in the halls of justice and to resurrect the ghost of his father who served as a police officer and was murdered in the line of duty. He soon loses himself in a murderous masquerade and finds himself transformed into a full blown vigilante that sends him on a downward spiral in search of a demonic idol who is Bedlams biggest DJ and the proprietor of the cities hippest underground night club. But when Davy discovers that the patron saint with the black face paint is not a phantom lost prophet but a degenerate murderer, junkie and menace of depravity. He quickly finds himself on a collision course with the truth, the loss of the cities trust and a testament that sometimes you have to burn down the town in order to save the city. We are not touching on Bruce Wayne's Batman as this is a different spin on a new character. Please visit www.suffocatorofsins.com

I had my $8 coupon from my Chris Nolan bluray package and I wanted to use it before it expires tomorrow so I went to see this again in IMAX. I must say, I think it's better the 2nd time around. Just the entire ending is awesome. Gary Oldman, Michael Caine, Joseph Gordon Levitt, the entire cast, awesome performance. Even though I am not an Anne Hathaway fan, I think she still did a superb job.

Finally saw this I loved it I loved Bane as a bad guy and the voice was fucking awesome.

The only thing is that I figured out that Tate was in on it about half way through the movie when she came to the mansion. I did like the Ras al Gul daughter reveal though.

Also what was up with the ending? Is Bruce alive or was Alfred hallucinating. I want to say alive but the weird brightness of the scene makes me uncertain

I guess you missed all the other tidbits in the end about how the auto pilot was fixed and Bruce Wayne's mom's necklace being missing and the bat signal being fixed. Did your mind completely blank out in the end? You just stopped paying attention?

No I saw all that which is why I do believe he is alive but for some reason the lighting and shit when Alfred saw him made me question that. It's a lighting technique many films use in dream sequences.
