I'll admit I'm a Quentin Tarantino fanboy. Even though I didn't like 90% of Death Proof and Jackie Brown is just OK.
That aside, the rest of his work is brilliant in my opinion. MY OPINION!!! Remember that.

Anyway, he begins filming his new movie soon. Its a western called Django Unchained.
It stars Christoph Waltz (who was amazing in Inglourious Basterds, best movie of 2009) as a German dentist turned bounty hunter.
Jamie Foxx plays a freed slave named Django who teams up with Waltz to free his wife from her powerful owner.
Gerald McRaney was just added to the cast in an unknown role. Maybe the slave owner but I would think that goes to a more well known actor.
The wife has not been cast yet.

I'll probably keep updating here if anyone cares.

I can't believe I forgot they already cast the villain.
Leonardo DiCaprio will play Calvin Candie.
Also Samuel L. Jackson will play his head house slave.

You also forgot Kevin Costner who was cast as Ace Woodley who helps Leo's character run a plantation called "Candyland" which is described as...

“despicable club and plantation in Mississippi where female slaves are exploited as sex objects and males are pitted against each other in “mandingo” style death matches.”

I can't wait for this...already has release date of Dec. 25th 2012.

Quote:
M.C. Gainey, a.k.a. Mr. Friendly on Lost, has entered negotiations to star in Quentin Tarantino‘s Django Unchained as what sounds like one of the nastiest characters in a film filled with vile characters. Gainey is up for the part of Big John Brittle, an overseer at the Carrucan Plantation who sets the plot in motion by raping Django’s wife Broomhilda and branding Django’s cheek with the letter ‘R’ (for “runaway”). Django (Jamie Foxx) goes on to team up with Dr. King Schultz (Christoph Waltz), a German bounty hunter interested in the large reward on Big John, to free his wife from the clutches of villainous plantation owner Calvin Candie (Leonardo DiCaprio).

The Miami Vice alum Don Johnson joined the cast as Spencer Bennett, a plantation owner who runs a string of ‘ponies’ — that is, pretty, young female slaves. It’s not a big role, but Johnson will get to factor in to one of the film’s early sequences as Django (Jamie Foxx) and dentist turned bounty hunter King Schultz (Christoph Waltz) begin their association. Bennett is a pretty unsavory part, as are a great many roles in the movie, and Johnson is a good pick for it.

Tarantino is the worst mostly

But really, why has he never made anything in the same vein as pulp fiction? Also death proof has 1 redeeming quality:

How can one be considered "the worst mostly"?
