I'm going to say that there is a huge chance that I'll go bald at some point.

Looks like that is somewhere in the Summers family tree... I've got the same thing going (along with a spot in the back of my head). But my dad definitely has it the worst out of the three brothers... It has actually gotten a LOT worse in the last 2-3 months even...

I think my hair line is going back but I still have a decent head of hair thus far. My only problem is that I'm starting to get a lot of gray hair. I'm thinking about dying it actually. If I wait too long it'll be noticeable that I dyed it, but if I do it now know one will ever know! Well... people here will now. :\

I shave my head down to the lowest length without actually BIC'ing it. I do it once a week to hide my baldness.
I do it every Friday when I get home from work so I have freshly short hair for whatever I do on the weekend.
But by Monday or Tuesday in work you can see the spot where its not growing back as thick. It sucks because I like switching up my hair all the time and I would love to grow it out again. But it would look pretty bad. I can see I have the horseshoe Hulk Hogan baldness starting but the back is really where its the worst.

I might try actually shaving it all the way down smooth one day. But I don't feel like I could keep up with it.

My boss shaves his head down smooth because he's bald. He said he bought some finger razor thing and just does it in the shower every morning. I would never have that kind of dedication. I can barely bring myself to shave my face once a week let alone shave my head every morning.

I'm the same way. I only shave once a week. Mainly due to pure laziness.
Acually right now I have like a 6 week beard going. But I still shave around it so its not all the way down my neck or going into my eyes. hahahah

But I just want to see how a fully shaved head would look on me and how long it takes to grow back.
I could possibly wake up 5 minutes earlier if it doesnt take long to shave my head in the shower.

yeah i shave my head down to a really low setting once a week to hide the thinning on the back of my head. im also gettin a lot of gray, but keeping it short hides it. although i dont really care about being gray.

I'm surprised Frank is losing his hair. Your dad has a full head of hair still. Phil still has plenty of hair.

Yeah I wouldnt care if I started going gray. But I haven't.
Balding is way worse. WAY WORSE! Gray can give you that distinguished look. A little salt and pepper beard is cool too. hahaha

I get a few really light colored beard hairs but they're not gray yet.
I'm sure its only a matter of time. My dad is bald with a lot of gray hairs so that skips a generation thing is bullshit.

100% agree. I have a few gray on the sides (less than a dozen) and one or two on the top/front. It is the ones that aren't there anymore that are the worst. I do have to admit, I am considering trying something like rogain, or similar.... It really does work on a specific kind of hair loss, but if you don't have the kind, it won't do crap for you.

Well it probably won't help you if your hair loss isn't stress related but gene related.

Except that it might if the genes that create the receptor sites that respond to the stress produced hormones are the cause. Or if the genes that regulate how much of the hormone is produced when in stress is the cause, or a combination of both :D

Which might very well make up the 25% of people that Rogain doesn't work on....

I have been shaving my head the shortest it can go with a buzzer for a while now. So it still leaves a bit of hair but not much.
I usually do it once a week, Friday or Saturday. So if I go out on the weekend my bald spot isn't showing.

I decided to let it grow in for 2 weeks to see if it got any worse. Well... it did. Its getting reallllllly thin in a bigger area than before.
I'm not actually bald anywhere yet but its just so thin that you can easily see exactly where its not growing as much.
So I took drastic measures and lubed up my head and shaved it completely to the skin. I was nervous that I would look weird or that I would cut my head or something.
But it wasn't so bad. It feels really weird though. I just kept touching my head all day. I did that on Saturday so now its stubble already.

My wife doesn't like it but she didn't like it when I buzzed it short either, then she got used to it.
This way I might not have to do it so often. Maybe once every 2 weeks depending on how fast it grows back. We'll see.

Fighting baldness by shaving my head bald. Oh the irony...

That sucks man.

My old boss used to shave his head every morning. He said he bought some attachment for his thumbs (or fingers, I forget) so he could shave it real quick in the shower each morning.

Yeah I remember you saying that before. I wonder what this contraption is.
I might have to look into it if I decide to keep doing this.
