I hate customers that think they can bring me a copy of Madden 04 and trade it to get Madden 07. They do it for all kinds of games but that is the most common example I have. Those bastards.

While I'm at it...children who ride their bikes up to the shop and trade in everything under the sun to get $30 store credit on all their dvds, old gameboys and games, ps1 games, and memory cards! It takes me about 25 minutes to put their crap in the computer and then they say I don't want to do it because I don't have enough money for Smackdown vs Raw 07

I get this one joker that comes into work looking at the psx games. He looks at them and says "damn...five dolla." Well he usually buys a game and tries to bring it back the same day when someone else is working. He doesn't like the game because its too hard for him. The thing is he is always buying football games from 97-00. That is just what I have to deal with.

Well today his ass walks into work asking if we got anything new. I haven't taken any psx games in a while so I don't know if we have anything new in. Into the box of games he goes. He pulls out Madden 97 and asks me what this one is about! I reply back "It's football." He then asks if he can see what it looks like. I put the game in and let him play a few downs. He doesn't even know how to pick plays and he keeps giving the ball to Curtis Martin and running backwards for a loss of 5 yards each time. "I'll take it" he says "This one is easy to get used to."

This man is a WHORE DADDY!

I'm writing this while I am bullshiting with a guy in work. He just wonders around the store looking for a game that is cheap enough for him to spend his lousy $13 credit. He keeps telling me information that I know isn't true. He says that Final Fantasy continues from each game and that he has beaten all of them. He may have beaten all of them but The Final Fantasy series are all games that have original stories that aren't connected except X and X2. Am I right!?!

He has been here for 45 mins walking around. GET OUT OF MY STORE!!!

i run into people that annoy me all the time.
part of my job is customer service oriented. theres a customer and if they have a problem i fix it. that is one part of my job. of course i am going to run into a person who gets pissed or just annoys me in general.

and yeah even though having a good amount of work makes the day go faster, usually i'll complain if someone drags me away from my computer hahaha

This is the same guy that has been here since the People that annoy you at work thread.

He just got on the phone with his girl and they keep arguing with each other saying "f this" and "f that" I swear he is a slow, fat, black dude, who can't make up his mind about getting Nacho Libre or Texas Chainsaw Massacre. He doesn't have any extra cash to buy the game he wants. He just said "what if I poured turpintine in her eyes...it won't kill her." He is conversating with another girl about his girlfriend. His girlfriend won't give him extra cash to buy a game and a movie. SHOOT ME NOW Please!!!!

Don't let this place skew your opinion, its in the middle of mutantville USA. I'm sure a few stories from Phils days at KB will be enough to make you not wanna work at either place though.

Of course you don't want to work at those stores, but the secret is that all retail sucks, but you need money, so you'll do it anyway. Haha.

For that matter, people who use walkie talkie phones, period. and the phone companies for acting like this was some big breakthrough. You have a freaking PHONE in your hand idiot!!! Why do you need a walkie talkie? Yes I know sometimes it's cheaper when you are roaming and blah blah blah... it's still freaking stupid. Not as stupid as sending text messages when you could just call somebody, or saying "text me".... but still pretty freaking stoopid.

Working at EB and Barnes & Noble were both pretty cool. Sit around, slack off, talk about video games/music/comic books/literature all day long inbetween really stressful work like... dusting... or straightening... and get paid for it. Pretty sweet. I never understood the people who took retail jobs but just LOATHED interacting with any and all customers. If you hate talking to people that much then why the hell are you working retail? Dusting affecianado? These people didn't consider their job options very carefully.

Toys R Us sucked because my branch was mismanaged and the coworkers sucked and they stuck me back in the stupid stock room 9 days out of 10... but I really did like those other two.

I doubt you can compete with my EB job where I worked in downtown Sacramento and actually had homeless people who were regular customers.

I still liked that job.

I hated working at Denny's because we had stupid high school kids in there all the time, but that was mostly because my tips depending on them too and high school kids don't tip.

I'm sure the video game stores attract a lot more smelly slobs than say... Victoria's Secret.
