Slipknot and Disturbed have officially been confirmed for the inaugural run of the "Rockstar Mayhem Tour" - a new annually-planned trek put together by Kevin Lyman and John Reese, the two behind the "Warped Tour" and "Taste Of Chaos Tour". The tour is expected to run through July and August with more dates and bands to be announced soon. Slipknot will be touring in support of their as-yet untitled new album which is expected out in August, while Disturbed are on course to release their new album "Indestructible" in May.

I think I'm going to give Disturbed more of a listen. I like their song on GH3. The Slipnot song is pretty good too.

They both have 3 studio albums out with their 4th coming this year.
The first Disturbed album, The Sickness, and the first Slipknot self titled album are awesome. The 2nd Disturbed album, Believe, is OK and their newest one, Ten Thousand Fists, is pretty damn good. The other 2 Slipknot albums, Iowa and Volume 3, are both pretty damn good too in my opinion.

But these are some of the bands that I got into right when I started getting into the "metal" genre so I've liked them for a while now.

The songs on GH3 are from their latest albums.

Sevendust are the latest rumored addition to the inaugural run of the "Rockstar Mayhem Tour" - a new annually-planned trek put together by Kevin Lyman and John Reese, the pair behind the "Warped Tour" and "Taste Of Chaos Tour". At present only Slipknot and Disturbed have both been officially announced; while rumors also suggest that Five Finger Death Punch, Suicide Silence and Walls Of Jericho will be taking part in the trek as well. The tour is expected to kick off in July and run through to August with more details to be made available in the coming weeks.

Yea that would be awesome if they add MachineHead and DragonForce. Some guy in my work was asking if I was getting tickets today for that one show. But I just looked it up and 40 bucks is a little too much for atreyu and BFMV. Avenged Sevenfold were only good when they played Walk.

yeah any show at the tweeter is always pricey. especially when its a bunch of bands like it is for the A Taste Of Chaos tour. it would probably be a good show to go to but i dont have the money to dish out right now anyway.

According to Billboard.com, this summers "Rockstar Mayhem Tour" will hit 30 amphitheaters during its July/August run. Rumors continue to swirl around the tour, which is being put together by the forces behind the "Warped Tour", "Taste Of Chaos Tour" and more. It will reportedly feature around 13-15 bands spread over two stages and while only Slipknot and Disturbed have been confirmed at present, other bands rumored for the bill include:
Sevendust
Machine Head
Mastodon
DragonForce
Five Finger Death Punch
Suicide Silence
Walls Of Jericho
The aforementioned article also gives some credence to the recent rumors that "Ozzfest" will be scaled back this summer for a limited run..

Records label on April 01st.

Oh well, I did want to see them since I havent in a long time but there's still a bunch of other bands on this tour well worth checking out.

Underoath took the place of Sevendust as headliners of one of the side stages.

Also joining the tour is the world famous Metal Mulisha freestyle motocross team. In the press release regarding the tour, a founding member of the Metal Mulisha and freestyle rider named Brian Deegan was quoted saying "They’ll be mixing the sound of riffing and ripping 250CC motorcycles flying 150 feet in the air against the backdrop of double bass drums and shredding guitars."

Here's the new lineup.
Still no ON SALE dates announced yet.

Main Stage
Slipknot
Disturbed
DragonForce
Mastodon

Jagermeister Stage
Machine Head
Five Finger Death Punch
36 Crazyfists
Airbourne
Jagermeister Battle of the Bands Winner

Hot Topic Stage
Underoath
Walls of Jericho
Black Tide
Suicide Silence
The Red Chord

Machine Head will never get the recognation they deserve, theyre hands down a much better band then friggin Dragonforce yet are on the second stage. Unless they want to be the headliner of a small stage, they've been around alot longer and are better then every other band there. In my opinion that is.

I would say that headlining a stage is better then being the second band on the first. They'll prolly get more of a set too. Plus the tweeter or whatever its call now is better when bands are on the other stages. Dragonforce is awesome tho.

I'm not a fan of Dragonforce, Through the Fire and Flames is fun to play on Guitar Hero but thats about it for me. I can't believe Slipknot is still popular, they remind me alot of Korn. I just really want to see Disturbed and Machine Head again, the rest I couldn't give two shits about.

Apparently there's a presale on Friday.
I wonder how much tickets will be.
I entered into some thing where they do random drawings to see if you win tickets and CDs from all the bands.
