I think this is the last tuesday for hockey playoffs, so hopefully I'll start catching these again. Are you guys still doing CS:S afterwards?

So that means no GFG updates for a few weeks.

Well it's true though. I personally think the clapping at everything is a little ridiculous. "Hey guess what, we're making a new game." ::big applause:: It's a little silly. You had people at Microsoft's thing clapping at fucking map packs, yet Nintendo shows a new SMB and people just stare at it. It says to me that all these game "journalist" guys have their minds made up about what they want to see.

I'm listening to 1up Yours and even those guys were commenting on how no one clapped during the Nintendo conference. It was weird.

Apparently there will be a Crysis 2. Hopefully it will be programmed better so it's not so hardware intensive.

There's also a new Endless Ocean 2 coming out!

I was listening to the podcast in work and actually finishing it now. But being the huge Halo fan I am. I read the book The Fall of Reach. Which was pretty good actually. Anyways i'm guessing Halo:Reach will be about the Covenants attack on that planet. its like the last stronghold before Earth. And its also the training ground for the Spartan project. Pretty good book actually. But none of you prolly care. haha.

Back in 2001 when I did my first Drexel co-op job in Philly, I would take the bus from Woodbury, NJ into the city every day. My boss was a big nerd but was pretty cool. He pretty much forced me to read one of the Halo books to pass time on the bus. At first I didnt but then he started asking me about it so I had to. So I read one of them but I have no idea which one it was. I think it was new at the time. It was actually pretty good. It didnt take me long to finish it.

The first one I read was Contact Harvest when it came out brand new. Then I went back to the other 3 pack they have. The best one in it was Fall of Reach. The Flood is just Halo 1 in book form. And then First Strike is right before Halo 2. They also have Ghosts of Onyx which I have but never did read actually. Theres a new one callled The Cole Protocol which I never got. And theres gonna be new trilogy of books about the Forerunners, they built the Halos and all that shit.

And all that is way off topic. haha.

i caught some project natal clips today. i have to say i'm not super impressed. i think that type of tech can have far reaching, everyday applications with in the home environment, but the few demos they showed did little for me. the paint app was a total joke not to mention that demo of that chick flopping around on the stage like a total fool.

but who knows. if it can truly "scan" RL items and put them into a game, then i guess that could have some cool implications.

just to sum up my thoughts, this year's E3 was really good. it had a few surprises, and the major press conferences were a little less pandering than last year's.
