I'm gonna get a lot of shit for this, haha, but I think...Shadow of the Colossus is incredibly overrated. The bosses are mostly the same thing approached slightly differently, with a couple exceptions, but your really just climbing them and stabbing the blue circle the entire game. The other part of the game consists of riding a horse that controls like a tank across a barren world. Yay. The music is one of my favorite soundtracks ever though. I also love the art, even though the game is a technical mess as well.

Halo. It just.... sucks.

I played a little bit of Gears of War and I wasn't too impressed with what I saw. But I can't say I can give it a fair assesment because I didn't play it that much. But from what I played, I have no urge to play anymore of it. Can't say I can think of anything else at the moment. I don't really play enough games to give fair judgement on them. The ones I do play, I enjoy.

I'm not a big halo fan, but why do you think it sucks so bad?

The floaty jumping. The boring weapons. The terrible crosshair. The weak controls. The lame uninspired graphics. Just to name a few.

i htink i agree with halo. i can understand dante's point about shadow of hte colossus. i love that game, but i also think it was trying to do something different which sets it apart from its contemporaries. it also had an ambitious combat system that, frankly, the PS2 was hardly able to handle. i guess it gets accolades because it dared to be different and on many levels succeeded.

anywho, i think i want to throw madden into this convo. i know im gonna catch flack foro this one, but i just don't see the difference between each year's release. sure, you can take one version and find it to be vastly different from a few year's previous release, but for the most part the only thing that changes is the stats which seriously at this point should just be done as DLC at a reduced price.

I really wanted to come up with something original or different for the overrated thing, but there's just no arguing against Madden and Halo.

This. They're not bad games, but they are just hyped to death because of their popularity.

Okay guys, looks like BAC is to be canceled tonight. Steve is out to power and my AC leak showed back up again, so while Steve can't even turn his PC on, I'm running around like an idiot. Hahaha. Sorry gang. We'll try and go live tomorrow night at the same time.

wow.... i didn't realize that Prince of Persia was a highly regarded game. I want to switch mine to that. Buying that game was like paying someone $60 to shit in my cherios.

Good podcast overall.

Is the episode getting uploaded any time soon? Also, is there a new show tomorrow?

I can't download it. Shit's broken. I can't get it through the flash player or through manual download.

I played so much Perfect Dark...
The single player was terrible. It had a good hit detection system.

On a side note, do you guys notice how much you guys use the words "you know"? Not knocking on you guys. I think you guys do a good job. Just something you might want to pay attention to as a tip for improving.

HAHAHA I love hearing Benson going off in the end.

I'd like to say that FFXIII looks like it has some pretty decent looking hair. In fact, I think FF has always had people with plenty of hair. They don't go with your typical bald dude or guy with a hat.

I think the difference with those games though, is that the hair is very stylized, almost like anime characters. So they're able to kind of do crazy stuff with the hair and get away with it. I guess the games I was referencing, the characters are supposed to look very real and true to life.

I guess it's another example of things looking better being stylized than looking more realistic. It's funny how one type of games try to make the characters look as close to real humans as possible while on the other end of the spectrum, real humans try to look as close as possible to the game characters.
