Thats the only thing tying me to cable, If it weren't for Baseball and Hockey, I would be fine without cable tv.

When I have kids, OnDemand will be clutch.
When my godson is over, we just throw on his favorite episode of the moment to have in the background to keep him occupied.

I'm pretty sure I'm going to try to not leave my kids in front of the TV all day. Haven't you heard? Too much TV rots the brain!

Good. Let their brains rot with pure entertainment.

Word. You should be able to upgrade to 2.0 at least. 2.1 is a huge power update for the higher processing phones like the Droid. But who knows, check it out!

T-Mobile may still be using the lower firmware. With my blackberry, Sprint had updated to 5.0 a while ago, Verizon JUST pushed it through this weekend.

I just got a phone call about upgrading my phone. Surprisingly the lady spoke English.

I told her no thanks, I just use my phone to call people and sometimes text.

I'll use my computer for the internet, my car stereo to listen to music, and my TV to watch TV.

yeah i mean, i like usingmy computer for internet, and my TV for watching shit too. by no means so i think i need to replace any of this stuff. i guess its nice to have an alternative on the go.

now maybe if i had an ipad, i could just throw out everything i own because apparently its so awesome i dont even need to wear socks anymore.

AHAHAHAHAHAHA!

Perfect example of having internet. My roommate and I had walked 7 blocks away after leaving a workshop when he realized that he left his credit card at a restaurant up in that area. To make sure he didn't just have it somewhere else, I looked up the number of the restaurant, called them and asked if they had the card.
It's little things like that that make it totally worth it.

We were golfing last weekend and when we were done we were in the mood for some Rita's. So JW looked up the closest Rita's to the golf course and hit it up for some gelatis and water ice. Clutch.

See, the examples you and Dusk give are the reasons I want to get into the smart phone thing. But I don't think looking up a Rita's is worth an extra 30 dollars a month. Though calling a place to pick up your credit card could prove invaluable.

Well just to play Devil's Advocate here. You could call Information and get the number of the restaurant instead of looking it up on their website. But regardless, there's always little things that pop up that are cool to do but I'm sure none are really worth 30 bucks a month. When I go down the shore to my parents' place in Delaware, they dont have Internet so I'll be using my phone the entire time. Sometimes I'm there for a week with no connection to my precious online activity. haha

Yeah that drives me nuts too. When we went to Florida I forgot to bring my wireless card thingy for Dem's old laptop. I actually went to a nearby Walmart and bought another one just so I could get internet. Then once I got it working I had to pay the stupid hotel this ridiculous fee so I just gave up. But I did make a few trips down to their front area to use their PCs with internet because I just can't resist. Plus, if something with the site were to happen I need to know.

Eh, the most likely thing to happen to this site is Frank yelling at somebody. That somebody most likely being me.

I mean back end stuff, like if the whole thing goes down, or on the chance I happen to get some sort of important e-mail... which happens sometimes.
