I swear everytime i flip through, AMC is pushing this new show with a behind the scenes or some shit...
It actually looks prett good.

Its based in the early 60's and is about an advertising agency.
Series starts next thursday, i think i'll have to check it out.

i don't think its too late... the first couple episodes they just kind of established the main characters.... took them too fucking long to do that in my opinion, but w/e

hasn't really been any major plot developments so far, mostly character development

This show is awesome. If you haven't been watching it, go watch it. So well written and executed. This coming from a person who pretty much demands either violence or nudity. this show has neither and is one of the best shows on tv.

Yeah, I love this show, sucks there's only 3 more episodes left this season.

The thing about this season though, it ties back a lot to stuff in the previous ones moreso than before. I imagine that anyone just starting to watch it wouldn't get some of the stuff going on.

BTW, the lawn mower scene was one of the best things ever.

Unreal. I can't believe they had that conversation this week.
This show is like nothing else on tv, it takes absolutely nothing from the "normal" tv plots.
I thought for sure they would have Betty confront Don at the very end of the season and she would either walk out on him again or he'd leave her as the season finale.

that sucks man. I know it's on comcast ondemand the day after. There might be some sort of stream or something that you can watch.

I'm not sure what to expect of the new season... I'm not real sure I like the way season 3 ended. It left the slate just a little too clean for my taste. I guess I'll just have to tune in to see where it goes.

idk, i kind of like the idea. and i dont think clean is how i would put it. it just ended before the craziness started. my assumption is that this season will start with the aftermath, which will be nuts.

im just glad joan is going to be in the show more.

Indeed. I love the direction. I also love how much of a c-bomb Betty is now.

holy shit i love this show.

Another great season over. I love how Don battled a bunch of demons this season, but basically pulled a Roger in the finale. I knew there was no way Joan actually got the shmashmortion so that wasn't a big surprise. Peggy was great again this episode and Betty is such a cunt it's great to watch.
Can't wait until next season

What the fuck, there's a thread!

I don't know about that episode man. Don took his douchiness to new levels tonight. The whole last 15 minutes was just really weird. I feel like I got trolled.

there's 2 threads actually.... there's one around here for season 2 i think in which i recapped the entire first season for people who hadn't seen it.

I liked it. Don completely let's go and becomes vunerable midseason, then in the last episode does a complete 180 or at least a 160 because he didn't start drinking like a fish yet. I think it's quite possible that they already built in a major storyline for next season. Hell hath no fury like a woman scorned and Faye may report him as a deserter.
I really do hope that the Megan thing doesn't last though because I like him better single, plus she doesn't have a personality. The worst part is they built her up as really easy-going and forgiving, so even when he fucks around she's not going to care.

i stumbled across peoples predictions for the finale and this one killed me

Quote:
My predictions: Roger won't die because they've been dropping hints all season, so that would be too obvious. Joan is still pregnant. Peggy will somehow save the day with a brilliant idea, but she'll pay for it later. Don loans Megan a few grand so she can finally get her teeth fixed. But after she gets braces she gets all clingy and annoying, so Don beats her to death in the parking lot of the Bada Bing.

I was hoping we'd see some actual change in Don, like what was happening mid season, but he's back to being the asshole he always was.

I liked all of it except the random marriage proposal. that shit was retarded and honestly made me come close to hating the episode. it wasn't necessary, they had the left turn with joan still being pregnant and they had enough stuff to maintain an audience to next season. it was just pointless and really lazy. i hated it. the rest of the episode was great, but that left turn really just kind of killed it for me.
