I got schooled a few times last night. It still awesome. For some reason, I feel the game is a lot faster paced than Starcraft. You literally have 0 time to sit around thinking what you should do next. You need to know what you have to do and do it instantly or else you're going to get owned.

I'm going to see if I can order it now... Stupid ass gamestop. If their coupon still doesn't work, I'm going to have to call them up.

Dammit! No dice. The coupon still doesn't work! I'm going to have to call them. I should have probably just called them earlier so I could have gotten my pre order in.

I just ordered it. But I can't do in store pick up anymore! I have to wait until they deliver it! I'm going to call them to see if they can find me a store where I can pick it up. Luckily, I did get the $20 coupon to work.

edit: I called them, looks like I won't be getting mine for 5-10 days... dammit :(

:( The cinematics are great, but it's nothing like the old starcraft, the games kind of short campaign i feel, but I dig the direction they took it. Time to crush people online.

They did kind of break out the campaign into 3 pieces so that's probably why it feels shorter than usual. Sucks that you have to purchase 3 campaigns separately.

Which race do you like best so far? I think I used to like Terran the most back in SC1. Although I might have been the best with Zerg. But there was a point where I was pretty good with all 3 races. I pretty much just play random though. Always have, always will.

CE = Collector's Edition

Agent Smith, did you finish the campaign already?

I'm hearing it's like 16-20 hours, depending on your skill / play style, which is plenty long for me. I'm really enjoying the campaign, but I still feel wary about jumping into an online game. I'll play with friends before I start playing random fools online.

Why? What is your fear? That you'll get squashed? The only way to learn and get better is through bitter defeat. Never forget that. You guys better get ready for when I get my copy for I shall show no mercy.

I don't even think it's up in the air right now. If I go online and play, I will definitely lose, and badly. I at least want to get a basic understanding of the different units and the building trees before I jump online. I am the noobiest of the noobs when it comes to Starcraft. I've had the original for ages and I don't think I've ever made it very far past the first few missions.

hahaha, yeah, the first thing you should do is understand all the units. It's tough starting out playing an RTS. You have no idea what unit is good against what. You might get a million of one type of unit only to die by the perfect counter. That and also learning the hot keys. Remember those hot keys and use the bind function!

I am using hotkeys as much as possible, it does help a hell of a lot.

online with anything but 1v1 is annoying me, we should get a team started since random games always have laggers, but online is great, and yeah the campaign wore me out pretty badly, It is easily worth the 60$, if not only for the campaign the online aspect is worth it. And the CE IS so bonerific, the dogtag is the best part to me, that and the art book, but seriously! The dogtag is heavy and quality, and when that shit lit up when i plugged it in i ripped my house in half with a boner.

I went to the midnight release for this cause my buddy wanted it. It was pretty gross, people coming out wearing the hat holding the game like the Bible and yelling. The worst was this one dude. He pulled out a laptop, put it on the back of his car, started playing and sat there mocking everyone else...

Dude, the worst people always come out to midnight launches. That sucks.

I found this pretty amusing. :)

I gotta say this is the 2nd time I've done a pre-order from Amazon and it's made the idea of midnight launches even less appealing. I have a Prime membership so shipping was free and it was sitting on my door step waiting for me when I got home from work.

The last midnight launch I went to was for Lich King and it kicked my ass. I'm not in my 20's anymore... by the time I got the game installed, patched and was playing it was pushing 2 am. So yeah, it's gonna be amazon for me from now on.
