hahahaha, I know man. I just don't understand how there isn't a trap (that I saw anyway) that just puts him into a box so that I can take him somewhere and set him free. I saw one trap that was like the "no mess trap" and it was this circular thing, he goes in there and then it shuts him in. There is a little indicator that tells you he's in there, but you never really see him. Why can't that thing not kill him and give you the option of putting him somewhere?

Anyway, I'm glad his days of wrecking shit are over, but I still feel bad.

Well at least I can finally start putting my kitchen back together tomorrow (unless there are more, in that case I'm still leaving the remaining traps up) because I took everything of fmy counter tops, including the microwave and all that shit.

We tried putting her down, but she is immune to poisons and bullet or explosives seem to have no effect.

i've got a mouse too now it appears. I left half a bowl of trail mix on my coffee table last night. When I woke up this morning it was all gone and there were mouse turds in the bowl.

some "fruit and nut" shit... they added in some very bland tasting chocolate. it made everything taste pretty blah and i was not a fan.... then again i had the bag sitting on my counter for a few days before i even opened it... maybe that wasn't chocolate

Had to deal with mice over at the apartment I rented when in college (well the landlord really had to deal with them, but they were living in our apartment). Anyway, they come in around this time of year (or at least they try to). Phil, I think the reason you have them now and didn't have them at your parent's house is because you have a basement in your new house, with most likely entrance being a hole in/near a basement window.

Anyway, really the stuff that got rid of them was a poison that basically dehydrates them and makes them want to go get water (which is typically outside), and they die out there (and not in your walls). Unfortunately, due to you having a dog, I don't think that will be something you can use (maybe in the basement as long as you don't let him down there...). We had traps for weeks/months and we still kept getting more and more. Now grant it, the apartment was a rowhouse, and we know the mice were in the "firewall" between the homes (not that the firewall would have done anything in a fire other then delay it for about 10 seconds...). Getting a cat would help, but not so much once the mice have already taken up residence, you need the cat before the mice come (the mice would smell the cat's presence in the home and would simply avoid making their home near that smell, but once they have a home...).

I got the mouse in my house, but found out today I've got a squirrel or something living in my garage and he decided to start making a nest near my engine.

i have a mouse..it may even possibly be a rat..im not sure..what i do know is:

-a sponge disappeared...im guessing it has been made into a nest now.
-found some poop in a few places
-found one of my dogs tennis balls with a hole chewed in it..looks like it tried to drag it under the dish washer
-i set traps last night. 2 snap and 2 glue.. and the little shit set 1 snap trap off and ate the bait out of it. also ate the bait off of one of the glue traps without getting stuck

the traps i had were mouse sized..so im guessing it may be bigger..so i got some standard rat traps im going to put out tonight. if that doesn't work, i guess i am going to have to go with poison..but i don't really want to do that because then i have to find the damn thing when it dies..i am now at war with the animal kingdom.

i think my basement might be infested with mice.... i keep setting traps and they keep dying 2 last week and 2 more this week...
I might have to go get some poison so they can all share in death

I set up traps last weekend. I got 1 on sunday and the other 2 weren't touched.
I checked yesterday and 1 still wasn't touched, but the other one is missing. It's just gone. My basement is a mess so it could be hiding behind some boxes or something, but it's definitely not in the immediate area where i placed it.

I may have something bigger than a mouse.... great.

Maybe the tail got snapped and it ran away with the trap attached to it.

We had a rat in the crawlspace when I was a kid. I remember my dad hiring an exterminator, later him finding the dead rat and hanging it by his tail from the clothesline out back haha

mine turned out to be 2 giant fuckin rats. 2 of the standard wooden rat traps took care of them. i almost took a picture and posted it here, but it was pretty vile.

here's a quick mouse story if anyoen gives a shit.

when i was younger, my dad tore down an old shed that in our back yard. i remember helping remove the wooden foundation and finding all these little things like barbie heads and shit under it. the ground there had a bunch of caved in holes that we didnt make much of. my dad told me to go over and rake up all the scrap that fell there after taking it all away. so im there raking up all the debris and my feet are sinking up to the ankle into the ground. i thought it was wierd, but kept working. for some strange reason, my eye caught a bee and i watched it as it flew down to one of the caved in holes by my foot. the dirt there suddenly quivered, and out shot a fucking giant mouse. as i ran away screaming like a girl while a whole family of mice started jumoing out of the ground there like popcorn. turns out i was caving in all their little homes with my feet as i worked. my dad spent the next day perched outside with a BB gun thinking he was gonna shoot them. he didnt get any, but the mice were gone.

true story, bro hah
