This woman on there last night was a fucking nut job. Towards the end of the clean up she comes storming into the house and throwing things saying how she couldn't believe the crew was about to throw out one of her most prized items. The camera guy follows her out and she's literally crying over the fact they were about to throw out her fucking Darth Tater.

She was crying over this. With real tears. On national television. HHAHAHAAHAHAHAHAHAH.

It was kind of about Hoarders but more focused on making fun of Inception.

Hoarders once again never ceases to amaze.

Last night this woman was on because her 14 year old son called Child Protective Services on his own Mom. He threatened to kill himself over being depressed from living in the mess and people were going to come take him away. The woman says in the beginning that if she has to, she'll do whatever it takes to keep her son, even if that means throwing away her entire house. Well, she fucking lied, because she barely threw away anything and caused a big scene. They did some decent work in her place, but on the follow up she just went back to hoarding and the kid called CPS on her again.

The other lady was a nut job too. She just ordered shit off of QVC and HSN nonstop and never opened up the packages when they would arrive. Her house was barely clean. After the crew left the first day she went shopping and bought more stuff, and thats when Matt Paxton couldn't take anymore. She also stayed a hoarder. They cleared out like two rooms and that was it. She seriously wanted to keep everything. There was a childrens book she wanted to give away as a gift even though it was covered in mouse shit.

These people seriously need to be stopped.

I was getting so mad watching it last night, but I couldn't turn it off. I love when that guy loses his cool because people won't throw things out. His reaction in the previous episode was better because the lady refused to take blame for all the dead cats in her house. That lady needs to be put in an insane asylum.

Last night wasn't one of the more insane ones, but that woman with the purses was great. I can't believe she spent their entire life savings in a year on knock off purses. I don't know how her husband didn't leave her. I would have flipped my fucking lid if that happened to me. She spent 140 grand in a year!!! ON NOTHING!!!

Also, the heroine husband of the other couple was great too. He was like a character (and looked like) Bob Odenkirk would have played on Mr. Show. What a mess.

I watched the most recent one. So far, I think Hoarders is great for a little bit but they drag it out way too much. It could probably be a half hour show.

The purse lady was awesome. Batshit crazy. But awesome.
"Look like a junk pile. Deez tings cant talk to me."
Her husband was one of those guys who is scared of his wife and just sits back and accepts what she's doing.

That episode was all about toothless weirdos.

That's most episodes. Hahahah.

Yeah some episodes feel long. They usually do a half hour set up, and then the second half is the good half with all the insane clean ups. You can't miss the first half though because it always gives you great insight into these monsters. The excitement of the first half is generally in how messy the people are. If it's like the purse lady where it's just new stuff all over it's an as interesting. The set ups are especially great because thats when you see people say stuff like "I throw out my entire house to keep my kids" and then in the second half they refuse to even throw out an old toothbrush. So both parts are important.

That dude Alan last night was out of control. He didnt seem to really care that he lost his kid. And it was ridiculous how as soon as they left he climbed in the dumpster and started taking everything out. I'm sure that happens on a lot of episodes but this is only the 3rd one I've ever watched. These people are just insane.

Oh and when he was up on the big dumpster yelling at his friend I loved it.

I didnt care about the other family really. It should have been all about Alan.

I don't know man, the other family was pretty great too. They had a fucking homeless person living in their basement and they didn't even know it. Then she put the couches back into her house after discovering the mouse tunnels inside of them. That woman was a wreck. Alan was amazing though and the true highlight. I love when they showed him dumpster dive in the beginning and he pulls out this shitty toy gun and says how it's a great find.

Having watched most of these, the one major common thread between all hoarders is that they lost something in their life and they can't get over it. Alan lost his wife. The woman gave her child up for adoption. The one woman about two weeks ago had a baby that died of SIDS.

Oh yeah I forgot about the homeless woman. That was great.
That should just be a sign that you have a problem but I'm sure she just kept on hoarding for a while after that.

I told Dem that if I were the husband I would have left her the moment I found out about the homeless person. I love how they saw her coming up the steps one day. It was seriously like a human rat was inside the house. They knew nothing about her and just let her go about her business it seems. They never said anything about chasing her out, calling the cops or anything like that. Absolutely insane. I couldn't imagine what I'd do if I found out someone was secretly living in my basement.

Yeah, what seems to trigger the hoarding is usually some traumatic event in their lives that causes some sort of void. They try to fill that void by hording onto stuff. They get a little bit of satisfaction from when they obtain the thing that they want but the feeling quickly goes away and they realize the void is still there so they keep doing it to try to feel better but they're not treating the underlying problem. They pretty much just try to fill a void in their life with materialistic things but the void never gets filled.

It's a combination of that and them being in control is also a huge factor. They don't want to lose these items because they place a value on them and they're in control. When they lost someone they loved they had zero control over that, so they just hoard as much shit as they can because they don't want to lose it.

Other people are just out right slobs. There was an episode where this huge fat dude had a tiny apartment. His apartment was literally just trash, fast food wrappers and soda bottles. He couldn't get to his toilet either and there were shitty diapers just thrown every where. His logic for not throwing out the soda bottles is that they have codes on the cap that he needs to redeem. Hahahahaha. He is just a lazy slob.

By the way, that Canadian woman looked like hell after she became addicted to crystal meth. Her boyfriend who was a heroine addict looked 10 times better than her. Crystal meth really just fucks you up royally.

I've only watched the 2 they have online. I thought that was the latest season.
