Bingo. If you click on your user name in the top right then click subscriptions you get a WAY better layout for it, but you have to do this every time.

I can honestly say that there is probably 1% of youtube users max who will actually like this layout.

they were thinking about how to finally make money off of their site. at this point it is a giant money pit.
