AMC is all about great characters and great stories so they picked up another show that could be interesting.

Its called The Killing.
Its about a police investigation around the homicide of a young girl. Each episode is one day in the investigation. 13 one hour episodes.
Starts on Sunday April 3rd.

Niiiiiiice. Its good to have some friends on board. haha

I'm not sure if I like the lead chick. She just seems out of place as a detective.
But I'm sure I'll be proven wrong. Series Premiere is this Sunday at 10PM EST on AMC.

Thought it was really awesome too...excited for what seems to be another great AMC series.

So did the Mom commit suicide at the end?...I couldn't get a good look if there was blood or what when she was just laying there...man that really sucks for the husband and kids though.

That part made it seem like she did, but she didn't look like she was. That scene wasn't very well shot or something.

I finally watched it last night. Pretty damn good. I always like a good murder mystery.
And no, I dont think the mom committed suicide. I think she was just laying there a little bit out of it and losing her mind. Like it was definitely late at night and the kids were still wanting dinner. It looks like she's gonna become just emotionally dead. At least thats how I saw it. If she's dead, they didn't really make that clear enough.

I PVR'd it. I'll probably try to watch it before the end of the week.

yeah the ending was a bit strange. but i didnt take it that she was dead. she was clinging to that giant stuffed teddy bear thing.

i missed the first 30 minutes are so. i like the choice of the main cop. she looks like a detective, and not some sassy hot chick who jut so happens to be a super intelligent book worm with a sharp intellect which is pretty typical. i thought it was a bit drawn out and slow, but was a decent watch. i'm in.

Well I didn't realize it was a 2hour thing so I only got the first hour. Luckily I noticed there was a repeat late last night so I DVRd it and I'll likely watch it tonight. So far I'm digging it. The way it's filmed really reminds me of The Walking Dead (I miss you :( ).

Watched Part 2. I like it even more. So far my 2 favorites are Rosie's dad and Counselor Richmond.

One thing I'm really liking about the show so far is that a lot of the characters seem very real. The cop giving the kids weedwas a bit much but at the same time the dude is a pretty big scumbag.

Also Frank she's for sure alive. They showed footage of later episodes at the end and she was there.

TONIGHT APRIL 10TH AT 10PM EST ON AMC
El Diablo
Police try to determine the connection between the teen girl's murder and the grisly crime scene at "The Cage" in the basement of the high school.

I can't believe this show is going to be 13 episodes. I feel like they're close to solving the case already after 2 episodes (or 3 if the 2 hour episode counted as 2).
I'm sure those kids probably had their way with Rosie but didn't kill her. There's gotta be more to it.

So I still haven't seen the episode but I read your post Manf. I think this show is going to throw some absolutely ridiculous curveballs at us. Also it is 3 episodes. The 2 hour premiere was split into 2 slots on my guide.

Yeah there's definitely more to it, like some sort of serious political tie in, but I was disappointed that we found out that much already.

yeah its too obvious that those kids killed rosie. they were also really careful not to show her face in the video, so it probably going to turn out that it wasn't her down there, but someone wearing her costume or something.

and i hate to sound a little heartless, but is anyone else already tired of seeing the parents looking around the house staring off into space?

I agree with the first part. I also agree about the heartless part, the last part not so much.
