I always wanted to play Comix Zone so I don't mind if it gets picked. That 2 dollar Steam sale was just in time!

Also, these games are available through Virtual Console, Sonic's Genesis Collection, and SoR2 is a free download for Plus members until Tuesday.

Comix Zone is a really solid game. I just never got anywhere with it. I kind of want to go back and play it again.

I like Comix Zone a lot, but it is really difficult. Not helping is the fact that I've never played Streets of Rage 2, and I'm kind of curious. I have the genesis collection and PS+, so either way I'm not paying anything extra to do this one.

I'm gonna have to think about this for a little bit.

I sort of can't believe you've never played SoR2. You should play it regardless of it being picked for the next episode.

I think you'd appreciate it. It's got good art design.

I decided to download Comix Zone. It was only 2 dollars, that's peanuts.

I bought them both through the Steam $2 sale, and I have them on the 360 via the Genesis Collection. so I'll probably spend a little time checking out Comix anyway.

So I just finished my first go at Streets of Rage 2. Managed to make it up to Stage 5's boss. I enjoyed it well enough, but i'm having a hard time finding anything remarkable about it. It feels a lot like every other beat em up from the 90s, and it looks a lot like Final Fight. There are a few things I really like. Having a few special moves to help out in different situations and break up the monotony of smashing 1 button the whole game is something more games like this needed. I really appreciate having a dedicated 'punch behind you' move, and the uppercut special (forward forward square) saved my ass a lot once I realized how to do it. I know I wouldn't have beaten the ultimate warrior without that one. The music is also worth noting. Although none of the tracks really stuck in my head for very long, the music was pretty pleasant, which is more than I can say for most genesis games. Something about that sound chip just rubs me the wrong way.

I'll probably give it another shot before the cast. I need another chance to smack the shit out of those electric whip bitches.

Hey all, yeah I Totally understand what are you are saying Nate about how SoR2 pulls a lot of things from Final fight; which kinda sucks. On an unrelated note, I think the Captain America movie will be good.
