Stage 1

-Your average brawler, feels like an arcade game
- Incredibly easy
-bosses where a joke
-Enjoying the art style/environments.

Stage 2

-holy FUCK are those Motorcycling fuckholes annoying, I lost 3 lives trying to get past their shit, it's like you finally kill 2, OH WAIT 4 MORE ARE GOING TO COME AT YOU FROM EVERY ANGLE HAHAHAHAHA
- The flying level 2 boss is pretty easy if you can figure out where his shadow is, but I guess the game developers thought so too since they decided to make the ground texture blend over his stupid shadow.
I used a continue on this boss.

Stage 3

-haha, it's really funny when the guy in green runs at you with the knife

I'm obviously picking out the smaller things, but i'm enjoying the game so far.

also agreed, the music in this is blah

AWFUL!

I always enjoyed these types of games in the arcades better. Having a finite amount of lives in a game that is designed to kill you in the cheapest way possible and make you spend more money can be frustrating.

From what I remember, SoR2 was actually pretty easy. I don't think these games are as fun in the arcades because it's not about how good you are at it, it's about how many quarters you have. I'd rather have finite lives and get good at the game. It's not about how many quarters you have, it's about how far you can get on that one quarter.

You know, maybe if the games were more thoughtfully designed, I could see that, but they are literally designed to make your time as frustrating as possible. SoR is a bit better, giving you 1 or 2 more moves to make it more manageable, but most of these games have 1 attack and an area clearing move that drains your health. That's it.

Well I would have played it had my controller fit into my sound card jack. I tried and it didn't fit. I guess the controller was just too old. I like that controller too. It's the genesis 6 button but it plugs into the PC. I guess i could have always used my other cruddy USB controller. Or maybe the PS3 controller works on the PC. I don't know. I never tried. I know the TE stick works just by plugging it in but I didn't feel like playing those games with my TE.

Well I have no TV to play my PS3 on. Or at least a TV that's plugged in and running. Right now my TV is sitting inside of the box because my TV stand isn't here yet. After that, I still need to spend 100 hours to break it in before I start playing any sort of video games on it.

I forgot you just bought your TV.

Why do you need to break it in before you play games on it?

Burnin issues with static images. It's not so much of an issue with LCDs as with plasmas or crts.

Streets of Rage 2 is one of my all-time favs. The bosses are pretty easy for the most part especially since those twin bitches arent in it. I love that Ultimate Warrior returns in it, I do however hate the robots that shoot lasers out of their eyes. The music is amazing (as everyone knows) and is so memorable it has even been Dj'd at a night club by Yuzo Koshiro for everyone to watch on youtube.

I also enjoyed the replacement special moves instead of the cop cars. It got ridiculous when the cop car pulls onto the boat in the first game haha. I also like the fact that the co-op is much improved. You dont have to worry about hitting each other or always grabbing each other. I love this game so much and I try and play it once a year and run through it and I probably always will love it.

Basically,

PROS: Great Bosses, Great Music, Great Stages (love the baseball field), Better co-op and special moves than 1.

CONS: NO ADAM! (but I guess they had to lose him storyline wise) Skate sucks.

Blaze is always the best.

And yes, Skate did suck. He had no reach.

I always liked the fact you could hit each other. It makes it more realistic and you had to coordinate much more. I think I first liked it in TMNT3 because the default mode was that you could hit each other. Mode B in Double Dragon 2 was awesome too when you can just fight each other and steal each other's lives.
