Pirates are sending 3 players to the all star team this year. Granted only 1 was an "original" pick, the other 2 are because of injuries/players opting out. McCutchen should have been there to begin with, but oh well.

But the bucs are over .500 (4 games over) at the all star break for the first time since 1992 when they lost to the Braves in the NLCS. They play in the worst division in the majors so they're only 1 game back of the division lead too.
This is the team the fans were promised a few years ago when they traded McClouth and called up McCutchen. I can hardly believe the owners are actually pulling it off.... I keep waiting for the trades to start happening. Joel Hanrahan might be the best closer in baseball right now (26 for 26 with a 1.34 era), if he gets traded this season I might just give up on the team.

That can't be real.
It looks like its from the 80s. Like the PRISM logo or something.

That was the craziest 2 hours of baseball i ever watched. I cant believe i stayed awake. I was nodding off during the end of the phils but got to see the Sox collapse and the Rays win with a walk off. So awesome.

Oh NESN, worst sports station in the US.

And Thark, you can thank the Phillies for going into coast mode during the STL series and then turning it on to wipe the Braves out.

I would have loved it if while that guy was talking they just pop up a little box of the Rays getting 6 in the 8th.

I did appreciate what the Phillies did to the Braves, that's for sure. And yes, the Phillies are superstacked this season, poised for a beautiful October. But I'll be damned if my Cards all of a sudden turn off the heat.

And Hack, this coming from someone with 31 moves, the most (as usual), for the season? And GoPhils had 1 more move than I did overall. Just paying attention to my team is all.

im not talking about total moves. Im talking about you dropping guys who pitched the day before for someone who was pitching the next day to get more pts. Next year im gonna change the amount of pitchers we can have on our team and put it a max inning rule.

I know Kirk Gibson will win the Manager of the Year award but he should have it stripped for letting Kennedy pitch to Fielder with two outs and first base open in the 7th. Big shock that Fielder hit a bomb two pitches into the at-bat.

Pretty awesome how the Division Series is so evenly matched this year, I think there was 3 sweeps last year, 3 game 5's this year.
