Hell On Wheels

I've watched four AMC shows (Breaking Bad, Rubicon, The Walking Dead, The Killing) and have not been disappointed yet. So most likely I'll be watching this one too.
Its called HELL ON WHEELS. This time its a Western set during the building of the Transcontinental Railroad. It focuses on a Confederate soldier who is looking for revenge. Looks like Red Dead Redemption. So another totally different project compared to what is on AMC right now.

I like westerns, and AMC has a good streak going, so I'll give it a shot. The sets looked kinda cheesy to me, but maybe that's just because I've seen Deadwood...

apparently NBC has a westernish show coming out too. I hope they air this in the same timeslot and kill it. fuck NBC.

This starts on November 6th. Comes on right after The Walking Dead.

I really want this to be good , but I have a strong feeling it will be as corny as the cheap filter they use on the video.

its just desaturation. i actually believe that this show will be good, but will not make near enough money to justify the budget. period pieces are expensive.

Wasn't too bad. Liked the bad guy, not sure about the good guy yet. Im a fan of revenge plots, but am wary of it working well drawn out over a series.

i thought it was a pretty decent start. i'm not sure about the monologue shit they do with the rail road guy.

yeah, im not really a fan of that shit. it annoyed me when walking dead did it too.

Dante was kind of getting me bummed that it would stink. But I enjoyed it very much.
The main guy is basically the character from Red Dead.

Well, I'm on board. The visual style is still kinda funky, but I'm also just a fan of westerns. The Swede was pretty awesome.

The swede was awesome. Pulls off being a creepy bastard very well. I enjoyed last night's episode a lot.

Still digging it, but I think it could really use a stronger central plot thread. The swede is still awesome.

We now know the swede cleans the floor naked at night, or he does whatever the fuck he was doing. Such an awesome creepy bastard.

I think his revenge is the central plot theme. They are just not doing a great job of exposition on it, I guess to make it a mystery. But it has annoyed me that we are this many episodes in and we don't know more.

Dude, its time to get on the Mad Men train! All 4 Seasons on Netflix in HD, Season 5 hits in March.
