Which means you'll have it Friday, and I totally plan on buying it that day too.

Sorry we'll leave now.

On topic, Elder-Geek is doing a big Skyrim marathon that weekend. Steve and I are actually headed to Randy's house to take part for a bit on Saturday, so I'll be seeing some Skyrim myself.

Will do. Right now we're supposed to arrive at his place around 12est and I think he wants to stream with us at around 1. We'll likely be there for the rest of the afternoon, but I'll be sure to remind you guys.

Where does he live? I didn't realize he was that close to you.

Down the shore. About an hour away. When I met him at MAGFest he was living in DC.

I got my Xbox modded last summer because no game is worth 60 bucks in my opinion. Anyways, the guy I get my games from got Skyrim today so I'm setting out on my destiny a bit early. Pumped. I'll probably rave about it later tonight.

Don't be stupid like me, I had my ethernet hooked up for some reason and the thing updated itself. Mine was soft-modded but I wanted to Jtag it to get all the XBLive shit for free, now I can't do that. So it sits in its box, banned from Xbox Live, and I doubt I'll ever hook it up again.

I wasn't even thinking, but this summer I updated my xbox and I got locked out. I sent it to my Xbox guy and he flashed it and updated the firmware and I was good to go again. Skyrim actually needs the newest LT 2.0 Firmware to play a ripped version of the game, along with most games that came out this fall, so he has to update it again for me today. I'm sure there's some fella running a business from his home in your area who can flash your Xbox and get it Jtagged for you too.

This is my guy. http://ottawa-gaming.com/xbox360.aspx

I know he can't help you but I guess taking a look at his website could help you find someone similar.

This game is a blast, I could talk about it for days but I'll try to just list my most noticeable differences/additions.

Dual wielding is amazing. It feels really fluid when you fight too, MUCH smoother than Oblivion.
Forging is now a thing that happens, and I could definitely waste a day just doing that.
Temples are pieces of art, the two I've seen are very different. Not the same walls in every single damn cave like last time around.
DRAGONS. Just as awesome as you thought they were.
You can have companions! Pretty similar to New Vegas. I haven't found out if they can die yet though.. too afraid.
You're not a ghost anymore, your character actually has weight and they like you to stick to the path. Side-scaling mountains isn't encouraged, unlike in Oblivion.
THE MENUS. Oh the menus. If you ever played Oblivion you know how scary the menu system is. The menus are much easier to navigate. MUCH.
Hotkeying is different/better. Instead of hotkeying to a direction on the D-pad, when you press UP on the D-Pad a little list pops up with all your favorited items.
Magic doesn't suck anymore, destruction in particular. When you equip flames in a hand, no fireball aiming bullshit, a flamethrower erupts from your hand, burning it all.
WEAPONS DON'T DECAY. ENCHANTED ITEMS DON'T HAVE TO BE RECHARGED. JOYOUS DAY.

Now back to Skyrim.
