Gotta feel bad for the dude that's going to fill in his shoes after that.

I was expecting the lost noise at commercial breaks and after the twist at the end. I kept doing it everytime it went to commercial haha. I'll stick around, I don't have a Monday show besides the junk on history channel anyway.

Jurassic Park is like sunglasses from CSI Miami haha

JURASSIC PARK. AAHAHAHAHAH I like how he's the whole movie.

Sam Neil is the kiss of death for that show. Just sayin'!

Sam Neill is probably the worst part so far. He's trying to be too mysterious.

The show is pretty brutal though for early in the night. I think 10 people were killed over the course of 2 hours.
One guy killed a couple cops and another dude was sniping teenagers.

The sniper, I liked that part but I hated how she figured out how to make the scope, I kept saying get out when she was making it haha

This show is kinda dark. A guys killing cops in episode 1, a sniper taking out teenagers in episode 2 and now a child killer in episode 3.
Mandy actually hated it because the guy creeped her out and she hates kidnapping and killing stories with kids. Not that anyone actually LIKES that.

But thats not saying it was a bad episode, just not her thing. The new inmate was definitely a creepo, had some awesome scenes like when he explained how he killed his brother. Hurley got to try out some acting chops and got a little back story. Sam Neill still stinks. It was a decent episode but not as thrilling as the double episode pilot.

haha I dont mind Sam Niel all that much. We watched it last night, not bad... I think the only thing that kind of bugs me a little bit is how quickly they figure everything out each episode. A couple packs of expensive cigarettes and hes tracked the guy to a bomb shelter in the same town as the kid's house. Again, a small gripe. I like the show.

Just started watching episode one now. So far I dig it. I really like Hurley's character but he will always be Hurley.

The fourth episode was okay. Not as good as the first 3 but still alright although the ending has me so curious about what Is in that room

DVRed it last night, gonna watch it tonight. I like it so far..but I agree some of it is cheesy with how fast they figure stuff out. And Dr. Alan Grant makes me angry every time he talks.

I want them to have more mysteries that last longer than one episode so I'm glad they didn't reveal what was in the room yet.
But I do think its really cheesy how fast they figure stuff out. Thats why I don't like shows like CSI. One episode, one case solved.
I need some overarching themes and mystery. Basically I want some LOST. haha

I actually love the way that they do it in this show. You have the payoff of them solving something small every episode a la CSI yet you have the overall "WHAT THE FUCK IS GOING ON" story like Lost.

Also I don't understand your hatred for the good Doctor Grant. So far I'm completely fine with him.

not having seen alcatraz yet myself, that's one of my problems with TV dramas in general also. the characters don't really do anything to figure stuff out. it just comes to them from no where.

i watched the first two eps last night. it was ok, but i found myself liking parts of it. there were certainly lots of Lost bits and pieces in it. like when they flash back to the prisoners they use a jail door slamming shut instead of an airplane engine roar. hurly plays a decent character. he's basically hurley after he becomes the new jacob: calmly nerdy and all knowing hahah

watched another ep during lunch today. its ok. i enjoy seeing how they bring the characters into the present day. like they showed the doc and i got a kick out of that. i also like how whats his name carrying the corpse back to the "fake" alcatraz.

so they keep taking blood from them in the past. i guessing that is important to some degree.

So her Grandfather was the first one to come back and then they sent back people to get the keys and to look for her grandpa. I don't think it's a coincidence that they are looking for him, he was the first one to come back, and they were doing something with his blood.

That was a decent episode, they definitely needed to mix up the formula a bit and focus on her family/backstory. Looks like next week is back to the 'villain of the week' structure. It's an okay show, I'm definitely enjoying it enough to keep watching it every week.
