I beat ME3 like Thursday or Friday. I can't remember which cause I basically pulled an all nighter, finished it at 8am and slept forever, fucking up my sleep schedule.

The ending doesn't really bug me as much as it did everyone else. Also I was kind of thinking along the line of "The Indoctrination Theory" even before I watched that video on Youtube.

I really liked the combat and the story, but I wish they would have dumped the the coop campaign and made the SP a little longer.

Played through Offspring Fling throughout the day today. I have Dad duty all day, so I had some time, ha.

This is actually going to be the next Game Club game. We talked about it on the new ep which should be going up sometime this weekend. It's 8 dollars and available through their website at offspringfling.com. It's a cool 2D puzzle platformer where you need to throw your Pikachu looking babies around the stages and get to the goal. Check it out! I think there is a demo there too actually.

Finished Kid Icarus last night. Pretty amazing experience overall. The fiend's cauldron... fuck that thing man. I didn't deserve to win this game last night. It knocked me back to level 3 on the final two stages, and that was starting from 6. I felt such shame.

Anyway, yeah, it's awesome. This is probably the best game on 3DS right now. I expected it to be a safe bet and to be good, but I certainly didn't expect amazing. This is like instant classic type shit.

I expected a fun little game from the trailers. I got something amazing that completely took over my life for almost 2 weeks. The music and dialogue were great. I'm still completely obsessed with the weapon fusion stuff. The land battles were a little weird at first, but after a few hours became second nature. I have almost 38 hours logged so far and I'm sure that number will increase. So many damn achievements!!!

Oh yeah and I beat Journey too... Beautiful, but like a lot of beautiful things, pretty vapid. Tries too hard to be video game art instead of being a good game. There's nothing wrong with it, the way it combines your experience with that of other players is pretty cool, but I felt shortchanged at the end. It's a game about walking through the desert. That's pretty much it.

I'm not gonna dance around it, Kid Icarus is probably going to be my personal GOTY. I don't know how anything can top it.

Yeah there is still plenty of room for surprises, but looking at what I know of that's coming and that I want to play, I can't see liking anything more than it.

I finished this on the first ship which is essentially easy mode. I tried the second ship and only got through a few levels. The game definitely needs medium difficulty setting, it just goes from easy to insane. Not a bad shmup, I got it for 150 coins through Club Nintendo.

Man, I never thought an Uncharted game would bum me out like this one did. It's not even a "safe" Uncharted game. You are constantly ripped out of the experience to touch the screen, but it's very rarely used in interesting ways. To nail this point home, the coolest touchscreen feature was using it to traverse the environment. Now instead of climbing by holding a direction and mashing X or O like a mad man, you trace your path. I kind of liked that.

If you're expecting any big set pieces or anything to make you go "holy shit!" like the other uncharted games, look elsewhere. This game is all about collecting treasure and molesting your new Vita touch screen. The combat isn't even good compared to the other games, with the worst offender being the ridiculous aim assist. There are 2 boss fights, which might make you go cool! until you realize that they are both prolonged touch screen QTEs. 3 mistakes and you'll be playing through the 2-3 minute segments over again. Hope you are good at swiping!

I didn't like it very much. It looked pretty good for a handheld game, but anyone who says it's pretty much a portable PS3 is bonkers. I paid $23 for this game. If you paid $50 for Uncharted, the most expensive Vita game so far, I feel bad for you son.

Nope. Perhaps there are alternate controls for some things, but I don't think so. I know you can climb around the old way if you choose to, but I didn't see anything like that for the zoom control on sniper rifles, menu navigation and the 8 billion touch minigames they manage to stuff in there.

I heard the coolest innovative thing was that you have to hold the Vita up to a light source to make some clue appear. Yet they completely ruin it by telling you exactly what to do immediately.

Every single time I've heard someone say "It's like a portable PS3" I immediately think "BUULL-SHIT". Also something about a handheld game costing the same as a PC game (although some PC games have recently been $60) and only $10 less than a console game really bugs me. I feel like handheld's should be $30-$40 max.

Yeah, there are 3 or 4 parts that are kind of neat. But all the neat stuff in this game adds up to about 5 minutes out of the 10 hour experience. It stinks.

I have really fond memories of this game, but I've never beaten it until now without "Icarus Fights Medusa Angels". It's a pretty fun game, but it's super short and gets really easy after the first dungeon because of the way you level up.

Wrapped up Bionic Commando last night on Gameboy. If 3DS didn't have save states I don't think I would have been able to do it. So fucking hard. Though this game is largely a port, I feel like Capcom created this for people that had played the original. You need to do some really crazy moves with the hook to get places. Some of the shit they throw at you towards the end is just insane.

It's cool to see that even Bionic Commando Rearmed took some notes from this version. I thought the Albatross appearing on the map screen and being its own stage was unique to Rearmed, but they took that idea from here. I also don't remember there being short cuts on the map in the NES version, and if there were, I don't remember them having encounters when you take them. Rearmed had encounters there and so did this. Both sewer looking stages. Pretty cool.

There is no Hitler or exploding head, but you still do the canon shot into the cockpit at the end. Anyway, it was neat to play through this. Not as good as the NES one, but still really good.

Ok this game is kind of fucking awesome if you're into deciphering codes and things. Also, chiptune chopin is pretty sweet. I don't know if I have the mental capacity to get all 64 cube things, but I plan on seeing all the crazy this game has to offer however I can. I wish there was more to the game than the puzzles and assorted mindfucks, but the puzzles and other assorted mindfucks are pretty good. Pretty pretty pretty good.

Have you started a new game plus yet? From the sounds of things if you just get the original 32 cubes you are nowhere near done.

Yeah, but after you get 32 cubes, there is a definite ending. I'm working on the 2nd set of 32 now.

From what I've heard about the later stuff I might have to by Fez when I get back home. Also I guess no one has yet to fully beat it yet.

I finished this late last night. I'm still kind of processing it all, I did not hate the ending. I've been reading some articles by people that did hate the ending and trying to put it all together. Some points I agree with them about, but it doesn't necessarily make me loathe the game. The biggest surprise to me is how I managed to play this game without having anything spoiled for me.

Anyway, this game was definitely more about the journey than the destination. I don't know if there was a satisfying way to wrap up 90+ hours of game/story in 10-20 minutes. They opted to go with a style of sci-fi ending that just doesn't really exist any more in modern sci-fi. I don't want to say anything else so I don't spoil it for anyone planning to play the game.

so steve just told me over IM the whole ending. here's what people don't get. despite the fact they are given choices through out the game, you are still playing a very linear story. from what i can tell, people wanted it to be one thing and they got something else. kind of like Lost or indy4. they wanted something else, but that wasn't what the game was about, and they refused to listen.
