I finally saw the movie yesterday. I have to say, THIS was the movie that all the other super hero movies need to look up to. They did a really good job dealing with as many super heroes as they did in one film. Really only Captain America gets a little extra back-story (and by little I mean like 1 minute), the rest of the characters, it is assumed that you watched the previous movies, so they don't spend half the damn movie just doing origin crap or lore crap all the time like just about every other super hero movie always do. I don't care to see Superman sent off in a capsule to Earth as a baby anymore, I know that happened. I don't need to see Batman's parents killed yet again, I've already seen in the last 7 movies.... And for ONCE, a super hero movie got that, and didn't show me that all over again!
And yes, the Hulk is worth it

People keep saying this, but the thing is, they did show you all of that stuff... in like 4 different movie franchises over the course of the last 4 or 5 years just to get to this point.
I hope that other super hero movies don't go the Avengers route in the future. It's a fun movie, but it's all fluff and almost zero substance, which is fine for what it is in this case. I really liked it and I want to go see it again with my wife. I do know of people that have watched this movie without having seen any of the other films and still had tons of fun, so I guess it does work regardless, but I still stand by the fact it's shallow. Fun, but shallow.
And everyone forgets 1989 Batman. Yeah we see his parents get killed in Tim Burtons one, but he is Batman from the start in that movie with little origin stuff. He's just out there being Batman and being awesome.
