Wizards are the weakest class as far as health goes, but yeah normal is cake as far as frustration, I dont think i'll be able to last in hell solo very long.

They look like they have the highest DPS though.

Yeah I love the DPS. My health goes down crazy fast when I get surrounded but my electricity attack with the arcane explosion upgrade can tear through massive groups while taking minimal damage. I'm level 10 right now and I just found "the star".

Is there a demo out there for it?

Me and some friends might be looking to buy it, but aren't really sure if our pc's can handle it.... and one is running a macbook.

I played it a little bit on my 3 year old Core2Duo MacBook Pro. Honestly, it ran like dog shit. I had to put everything on the lowest settings and even then it was chugging at times. So yeah I guess its playable, but it wont be pretty.

I think that there is a starter edition of the game, you just have to create a battlenet account.

Great for taking out big groups of monsters. Primarily a support class. I'm enjoying it a lot.

Are his attacks more melee or magic? I heard it is probably the best class for soloing bosses but potentially the hardest class to solo dungeons.

I basically run around with a pack of zombie dogs to draw aggro. While the mobs are trying to fight the dogs, I'll hit them with a slow spell. I use this opportunity to run in and use another power that increases my damage output. Then I just let loose with frogs and acid rain. It's an interesting class. There's a lot going on.

I don't know how good this class would be at soloing. I beat the butcher and the skeleton king by myself, but it wasn't exactly easy. I don't think I could have beaten Diablo without help. Some of the other Act IV stuff was pretty rough by myself. On Nightmare, I'm ok in the field, but it can get pretty hairy when the special mobs start showing up. You really can't take a lot of damage. I have an ability that makes me invulnerable for a short while right before I take fatal damage that lets me escape and rethink my strategy. I would have died a lot more without that.

Finally beat it on Normal difficulty with Steve, I can't wait to check out the Nightmare difficulty now.

Beat the first big boss tonight. I'm about level 16. Should I go onto the next area or grind up a bit.

Also I can never decide which abilities to use. For now I'm using Spectral Blade, Ray of Frost, Diamond Skin, Wave of Force and Frost Armor, for my Passive I'm using Blur which reduces the damage I take from melee by 20%.

I'm considering switching to Glass Cannon for my Passive (15% increase in damage 10% decrease in resistance/armor).

Anyone have any suggestions for other powers that are good?

Try experimenting a little, it's not like you can screw up your character. I personally just went with whatever I thought looked cool.

Same. Apparently this is the point where melee characters are broken.

I dunno, I see barbarians tanking the champion mobs that have arcane and freeze while keeping full health. What's your battle tag? I'm not even sure how to find mine.

Also It'd be cool if the bosses dropped neat stuff.

I decided to try out a Monk and I think I might stick with it. I played him up to the first "Stranger" mission before calling it a night but I really enjoyed the pacing of it. I decided to try it out after I realized how oddly I was playing my Wizard. I was basically running him like a Monk running in with Spirit Blades and then when I inevitably got close to death I would use that force push thing, Diamond skin, then back up and Ray of Frost dudes. I can run in with the Monk and just do the first part of that much more effectively now and I am much more durable and having the heal is nice. My only tough call right now is do I use Fists of Thunder with the teleport rune where you can fly in and do immense damage to one enemy at a time or do I use Deadly Reach which does less damage but hit more enemies at once. Tough call, I just keep switching lol.

I might switch the that crippling wave strike thing when I unlock the cyclone strike (pulls all the enemies toward you) since the Crippling strike has a wide hit radius.
