Damn this was a pretty great card.

JDS looked absolutely fantastic and just boxed Mir up badly.

Cain absolutely demolished Bigfoot. Probably one of the top 10 bloodiest UFC fights, especially considering how short it was.

These cards with less known fighters are always crazy difficult to make picks for.

Jake Ellenberger
Mike Chiesa (hardest fight of the card to pick IMO, Iaquinta looks good, while Chiesa has looked like he was in pretty big trouble in his last 2 fights, but I think he lost the Jury fight and the Pichel fight should have had a round 3.)
Charles Oliveira
Pat Schilling (another hard pick since both men have beaten a whole bunch of nobodies and lost to their 1 known opponent.)
Justin Lawrence

Daron Cruickshank
Myles Jury
Christiano Marcello
Joe Proctor

John Albert

Cofer keeps running in head down swinging and the top of his head keeps colliding with Lawrence's face. This is definitely illegal and happened something like 5 times in round 1 alone.

Martin Kampmann proved how underrated he was tonight. The guy should be on a 5 fight win streak but got robbed 2 fights in a row (Shields and Diego Sanchez).

He either needs to fight Hendricks next or get a title shot. It depends on GSP. I want Condit to defend (likely against Hendricks since Kampmann's nose appears to be shattered) but if GSP is coming back soon enough that it doesn't make sense for Condit to defend (which I do not believe) then Kampmann vs Hendricks to determine the #1 contender makes sense.

Man I really hope McCall can pull of the win this time. I can't stand MM's style. Either way I think there is a very good chance that Benavidez wins this whole tournament but I love McCall's story/personality.

Ian McCall
Erick Silva
Josh Neer
Scott Jorgensen

Sean Pierson
Bernardo Magalhaes
Caio Magalhaes
Justin Sales
Dustin Pague
Leonard Garcia (While I think he should currently be on a 7 fight losing streak I find his fights exciting so I want him to win this to avoid being cut)
Carlos Eduardo Rocha
Seth Baczynski

The ref in this fight might be the worst ref ever. Benoist has landed 2 illegal knees and has not lost a point. Both of them should have been a point deduction and potentially a DQ. Fucking insane.

Also in an earlier fight he reset the fight because one fighter was pushing off the cage with his feet and was warning fighters not to throw elbows to the top of the head (fully legal).

Weird. Jorgensen is now almost completely white. I guess his Vitiligo has almost ran its course.

Once again the judges disappoint. Should have been a 29-29 and we should have gotten the 4th round. I think 1 was MM, 2 was Uncle Creepy, and 3 was a 10-10.

I fucking can't stand MM, I hope Joe knocks his block off. Also to be honest I think Joe B beats either guy. This kind of sucks cause I think McCall clearly won the first fight so this feels like a bit of a robbery to me. If MM is the FlW champion I think it's terrible for the division. His fights over Kid Yamamoto and Miguel Torres were two of the most frustrating fights I've ever watched. Against Kid he just took him down, laid on him a bit, Kid got up, repeat for 3 rounds. Against Torred MM laid for 3 rounds while Torres was massively active from his back, Torres should have won 29-28 or 30-27 but the dipshit judges gave him the fight based solely off of his take downs. I kind of feel the same about round 3 in this fight. I feel like they gave MM the round for his 1 takedown, with which he did absolutely nothing.

The sad thing is that this card almost looks better than UFC 147 which takes place the next night and is a paid card.

Yeah I only care about Silva-Franklin and Werdum-Russow.
Lots of Brazilians will probably want to watch it though.

I'm kind of pissed that I'm going to miss most of the Friday card because I have an exam from 7pm to 9:20. Hopefully I'll be able to find the majority of the card online later.

I don't even know if I'm going to do picks for 147 yet because I really don't care about the majority of the fights.

Unfortunately I had an exam tonight and I missed all of the fights until 3 minutes into round 3 of Ebersole-Waldburder. I DRVed the rest so I'll watch them later. Pretty upset Hioki lost cause that just really proves that most of the high ranked fighters who fight in Japan aren't as good as their record seems.

It sucks for him to cause he was offered a title shot but turned it down to get more practice and then lost his next fight. Also I think the fact that flying West to East (Japan to America) is much harder on your body than going East to West definitely could play a role in this cause Hioki looked pretty bland against Roop (I still think Roop won that) and now he's lost to Lamas, both in America yet he looked fantastic against Palaszewski in Japan. I would be interested to see what happened if he were to live in the US or fight in Japan more often against a similar level of competition.

Wow I think those judges fucked up badly. I had Guida winning the first 3 rounds. 4 was a lot closer but I think I might give it to Guida as well, Gray's guillotine would have made it 10-10 if he had not stood there and eaten 3-4 bombs before it. The 5th was clearly a 10-9 for Maynard.

Also Maynard acted like Guida was being a pussy/bitch but he was the one who could not adapt to Guida's style until the 5th.

Oh and the craziest shit was that warning from Mirgliotta. Guida was running to avoid punches and he threatens to deduct a point. If anyone deserved a point deduction it was Gray. He's the one who bitched about Guida's hair and forced it to get braided/ponytailed then during the fight he grabbed the ponytail to clinch at least 3 times and grabbed it while Guida was on top of him. At first I thought it might have been on accident but then he was clearly attempting to close his hand around the ponytail.
