I am partial because the actual Spider-Man in the new ones is like a spot on version...he quips with bad guys and actually fights like Spidey (lots more webs to the eyes and mouth) and just is a closer representation. I love em all though. I can't really put them in an order since I am a fanboy, but if I had to that would be my order.

Yeah I can see that. I really loved the way they handled how he fought too. Though after just watching that Bank and train sequence from Spiderman 2 I think people forget just how well done he was there, though he of course looked much much better in the new one.

That train fight is still my favorite...I also love how he delivers Spidey to Harry wrapped in barbed wire. I also LOVE the fight with Spidey and Goblin at the end of 1. I will never forget seeing the first one in theaters back in 2002, when they had the fight at the Oscorp party (with stupid Macy Gray) my jaw dropped. Seeing them fight with Spidey flying around was something I had never seen before and I will never forget my mind being blown haha.

As far as Spiderman cameos go I know Jim Norton was a truck driver in Spiderman 1. Also comedian/actor Joey "Coco" Diaz is the guy on the train in SM2 that tells Doc Oc that he has to get past him to get to Spider-Man.

Lucy Lawless is the chick that says "sounds hot" about Spidey in the first one.

Holy shit, wow. I would never have known that one. And Nick, yeah I knew the Jim Norton one but not the others.

And Stillies, yeah those parts all stuck out to me when I first saw them too. In fact whenever I think of Spidey 1 those are the scenes that flash by in my head real quick.

Haha, of course. I wouldn't be surprised if they did more than that. Harry Potter and Twilight have made it acceptable to make as many movies as they want now.

True, but the same can be said of comic books. They have a bazillion books to use!

i guess. but comics never really have a finite end. plus what could be one scene in a movie, could be like an entire issue of a comic.

Some interesting things about Spiderman.
Apparently a major plot point was removed so they could use it in sequels.

I wish they didn't cut it. The movie did feel like it was missing something big and important. Also, it would have helped make this movie feel like its own thing, instead most of the movie feels like 90% retread. :(

My nephew has been watching the old Spiderman cartoon. I asked if he saw the "MARY JAAAAANE" part and he said "No, but I saw a SHOOOOOCKERRRRR part." So he told me the episode and I looked it up. It's incredible. Skip to 5:09

"YOU CAN'T ESCAPE MEEEEEEEEE!"

"I'LL CHASE YOU TO THE ENDS OF THE EARTHHHHHHHHHHH!!!"

I remember watching that when it first aired and going "oh my god he's lost it!"

Wow this entire sequence was all CG. I'm genuinely impressed.

Who do you guys want to see as a main bad guy next? I want to see someone that hasn't been done like Scorpion, Shocker, Mysterio or Carnage (may need to be paired with another baddie) I could see Mysterio being kind of hard to do. Scorpion might be a bit too similar to Doc Oc. I also don't know how they could design these characters. I could see Shocker, Mysterio and Scorpion looking really corny if they fucked it up and kept it too similar to the comic book/show versions.

They might do something similar to The Dark Knight and reboot a baddie they already used in one of the previous Spiderman films.
So don't be surprised if Green Goblin or Doc Oc pop up. Especially since there was a lot of talk about Norman Osborn in this movie.

I kind of hope they don't do the Goblin until the 3rd movie. Like maybe have him around a bit but not the main guy. Try to distance themselves from the other series a little bit more.

I want to say no because there is no way anyone will be as good as Dafoe, but we all thought no one would be better than Jack as the Joker, so you never know.

Since all of my Spiderman knowledge is essentially from the films, I don't care who is next. I of course know a lot of the Spidey bad guys, like who they are, but I don't know any of their motivations or personalities or anything like that. I kind of hope they don't do anyone that Raimi covered, but I feel like Goblin has to show up at some point.

Oh yeah speaking of which, I like how Norman's face was blanked out in the movie. They might as well put a big question mark over the face. Hahahaha.

I think the difference between Jack/Keith and Dafoe/someone new is that it was almost 20 years since we had seen Jack's Joker. It's been 10 years since Dafoe's Goblin was the main baddie and he was in those hallucinations in the sequels.

Oh and then when the crane guys make the perfect path for Spiderman because THEY KNEW he was headed to the Oscor building. Sure. So yeah, LOTS of cheese ball shit.

The crane guys knew where he was going because they said on the news Spider-man was going to stop the giant lizard climbing on the side of the oscorp building. For all the lizards appearing, he was messing around with that gas that turns everything into Lizards I am sure they were all some kind of results of that.

I said the same thing when I watched it last night, first off the report is awful SPIDERMAN APPEARS TO BE FLYING TO THE OSCORP BUILDING AND HES INNJUUURRREEEDDDDDDD. Then this crane operator gets all of his buddies, INSTANTLY to move every crane in a perfect spot that just so happens to be to the path of his destination

I liked the move, thought it was really entertaining, I agree with Phil about the ending too because I said the same thing to Colleen.

I'd go 2, 1, TAS, 3. The first 3 movies were, more fun?, I guess I'd say, this one takes itself a bit more serious, and thats not a bad thing. I'll get this when it comes out on bluray though.

Oh and I'm pretty sure Denis Leary doesn't age, he's looked exactly the same since I've first seen him.

Hahahah yeah dude the entire report was pretty hilarious.

My parents saw this the other night too. They both loved it. They didn't really say whether or not they liked it more than the originals, but my Dad seemed to kind of think so. When I brought up the crane scene my Dad said he loved that part. He seemed more willing to excuse them all being lined up better than I did. He also liked how you saw him getting injured more than Peter does in the originals.
