ahahaha! yeah i watched it on fx the other day and was wow'd by peoples youngness. although the movie itself still holds up and is awesome.

i think i went with LOTR because it was really one of the first super epic films to do the fade out/in shit with dramatic music everywhere.

Yeah I was going to maybe watch Batman Begins tonight but I almost want to watch X-Men now. I havent seen the second since I saw it when it was out in theaters. I have it unopened on DVD... unless I put it in my box that went to Amazon. I don't even remember.

Anyway you're probably right with LOTR. That is likely the one everyone wanted to copy.

Yeah that was the way trailers used to be cut.

BTW, my wife might be the only woman that hates Titanic and I might be the only man that likes it.

It's one of the few films I have on VHS. I don't even remember most of it. I love the shot of Bill Paxton. And "You going to him? To be a whore to a gutter rat?!" "I hope you enjoy your time together!" Oh man, classic shamoozal.

Man of Steel

Teaser with Pa Kent (Kevin Costner) doing the voiceover.

Same teaser but with Jor-El (Russell Crowe) doing the voiceover.

I saw the Russell Crowe one with DKR...Looks ok I guess...too much fishing not enough Superman but it's a teaser so whatever. I did like the shots of him flying though, with Nolan helping out this could be epic.

EDIT: I also found it odd that they played the music from LOTR when Gandalf dies in it haha.

I like the revenge idea..but did they really need to actually have someone get taken? just so he could say "your mother is going to be taken"..i mean, it could still eb taken 2, without anyone actually being taken.

I always thought the original was neat because all of the effects were done practically. It was more about messing with your head than anything else. So, I guess that's out the window now?

I watched Blair Witch last night, and I still like it. The last half an hour or so is great, but it wraps up kind of abruptly. That last shot still freaks me out, and then the soundtrack over the credits. Creepy.
