Does anyone else plan on buying Wii Fit? I think this is a day 1 purchase for me. Anything out of EAD is basically insta-buy from me. Looks like I'm gonna be heading to the coin star/penny arcade that day.

My room isnt big enough for wii fit. And if its in the living room theres a good chance i'll never play it anyway since I dont play games out there really. With the exception of Rock Band of course. Some of the mini games looked fun tho.

The ski jump thing looks pretty fun. I know if I got it, I would play it once and that will be that. I barely even touched Wii Sports. I only really played it when my 8 year old cousins were over.

The Ski Jump looks like it could be a disaster in disguise though. I could see people literally jumping and landing hard on the board, rendering it useless after a few play throughs.

I'm not sure how it's supposed to work. I thought you just leaned forward on it. I didn't think you'd actually have to jump from the board. If you do have to jump on the thing, I agree that that would be a bad idea. I can't see the thing taking too many jumps from a 200+ lb dude.

Yeah maybe you do just lean forward... I'm not sure how it works. Either way, I could still see someone jumping on it like an idiot.

Yeah, with these things, there's always going to be idiots. I wish I could embed that sound clip of that woman going "Oops" when that kid threw the baseball bat through the TV.

I really think the time and money they used creating and marketing Wii Fit could have been put to better use like making a better internet service. Wiinternet! Gay. Seriously, I don't want this. If I want to shed poundage I'll go to a gym, which I am. Now it is very innovative, but it seems unecessary. Unless they make a skate boarding shooter I won't get this.

Tony Hawk will be the end of Wii boards everywhere as kids crack their boards in half trying to do their front side 360s

If you're going to go as far as stand up, why not just go outside? I might be sounding un-Wii but Wii Fit really discouraged my hopes for the next year.

I guess I'm just an EAD whore, but I feel like Wii Fit just needs to go into my collection.

As for going outside and all that, it's true. Hell, if you want to get into shape you don't need a gym either! I guess the whole thing about Wii Fit is that it tracks your stats, you see changes, and it records your progress (if the thing actually works). The game weighs you upon boot up, makes your Mii as big as you are, and then your Mii gets fit and loses weight with you. I don't know, I guess I just think it's pretty cool. Who knows how much I'll even play it, but who knows, I'm dying to try. I'm not trying to convince you guys to like it, I understand why people wouldn't like it.

I wouldn't let Wii Fit discourage your opinion of the Wii line up for the rest of the year. Scary part is, after Wii Fit, Brawl, and Mario Kart, we don't know anything for certain. I would gauage their E3 (though they'll have something before that) showing to really see what they're up to. You never know, it could be a bust, or could be awesome.

I shouldn't be coming down so hard on Wii Fit. I'll probably end up getting down the road sometime. But for me to throw my (really hard earned) cash around on stuff I only 'sorta' want is silly. I'm thinking about all the major series and their Wii sequels.

Mario - Mario Galaxy
Metroid - Metroid Prime 3
Zelda - Twilight Princess
Mario Kart - Mario Kart Wii
Smash Bros. - Smash Bros. Brawl
Fire Emblem - Radiant Dawn
Paper Mario - Paper Mario Wii

Think about it, how many more first company games by Nintendo are left? Donkey Kong?
