Time for an official Phillies thread since baseball season is officially underway. Throw any baseball / Phillies related junk in here. Tonight's topic:

EX Philbo - Padilla

Looks like this god damn idiot had a strong showing tonight against the RedSox.
6 Innings pitched, 4 hits, 1 earned run. I wonder how long that kind of production will last. He'll probably win 20 games now that he ISN'T a Philbo. Oh well, thats how it goes. Meltdown is pitching for us tomorrow, hopefully he doesn't give up 8 fuckin runs in one inning.

dude.... most ex-phillies end up doing pretty good at least for their first season away from philly. thome's got some dingers already but he'll probably end up getting hurt somehow.

Thome probably wont get hurt, and I hope he hits 50 homeruns. He's meant to be a DH, playing 1st is what killed him. Also, Padilla was pitching really well for us last year for a good stretch in the middle of the season, I think he'd do better as a middle reliever then a starter though. I have a feeling Gilllick will make a move sometime this year and get another good pitcher, I just hope sooner than later, because our ACE doesnt turn on until September.

I want Thome to do good too since he is on the White Sox. Also I want Big Hurt to do good too. 1-3 in the Opener with a HR and went 0-3 last night. I think ill be getting a A's jersey with Thomas on it sometime down the road

Yeah, with a healthy thomas the A's could be pretty dominant. I'm probably gonna loosly follow them this year because I'm getting the baseball channels again. I'd love to see Thome hit 40 or more, he's a beast when he's healthy.

Well Rollins gets to 38. But i said as soon as i got the Home Opener tickets that we were gonna get beat by the Cardinals. They were in the Series 2 years ago and are still a good team.

But who would want to get tickets the 26th of this month. Could be a Historic night if rollins still has the streak going. And if not we can watch the phillies play the rockies.

1) Fasano is a beast and I hope he takes over as catcher full time.

2) Heres a pretty good picture of the phanatic from today.

Why in hell did Charlie Manual sit the starters in Game 2 yesterday. They were 1-4 and your giving them a break. I think it said the backups who played went 3-17 Awwwwwwwwwesome. Im calling it now he will be fired before the all-star break.

Ps its 5-3 Atlanta in the bottom of the 8th
